They could always offer two versions: Nirmal and one with a particle effect like they do with the level 50 Heavy Wolfram Cuirass and Augmented Heavy Wolfram Cuirass.I'm not strictly against armors sporting special effects, but not in FF. That's a wow thing, masking bad armor design by using special effects. FF has amazing armor designs, intricate and detailed that do not require special effects.
Besides, all the special effects budget was spent on the spells and skills. :P
Doens't need to be on fire, it is fire. :P
That way everyone is happy.
