Still my point is overall gill is worth hardly anything. The need for a gil sink everyone can do without limits is still there.
How long have you been playing the game for? I've been playing the game for 8 years or so and I'm constantly broke, always needing more money.
If your gil is not worth anything to you I'll gladly take it.

You don't need HQ gathering materials to ensure a 100% HQ rate, they are more a nuisance than anything else. Maybe you need them for crafting the newest crafting gear with the older one, but that's a trivial obstacle and obsolete after day 1.

New crafting gear will still requiere mats on timers, sands and mats bought with tomestones/scrips. They'll still be limited and if you want to craft in bulk, you'll have to buy these mats from the MB. Nothing will change.
Also, everyone will start leveling their crafters/gatherers again. So new gear, new tools to make/sell. We will need a ton of mats and iirc, these mats were selling for a high price during ShB launch.

I agree completely, but one thing remains, gathering will feel more dull again.
I don't enjoy crafting, but I love gathering and I miss having no chance at getting something rare when gathering. I admit HQ mats were nothing too great, but at least something. Now we have nothing
I wish they replaced the HQ mats by a small chance to get something rare and cool from gathering, something one could sell for decent profit and it would be useful in endgame content.

Okay all that aside as that is more of a secondary.

I still think this would be an amazing thing and adding nice looking things for all with more customization. Like giving us armor that flows/drips water. Or even looking like your on fire.

I'm not strictly against armors sporting special effects, but not in FF. That's a wow thing, masking bad armor design by using special effects. FF has amazing armor designs, intricate and detailed that do not require special effects.
Besides, all the special effects budget was spent on the spells and skills. :P

Doens't need to be on fire, it is fire. :P

There is none that I can think of so I was thinking while playing Final fantasy 7 remastered we could use a new mode in the open world that could benefit all aspects of Final Fantasy ffxiv. The solution “adventure mode”
You're not going to get people to give your idea due consideration when you start off your post with irrelevant ranting.

Removal of HQ materials doesn't make gil meaningless.

Removal of HQ materials has nothing to do with the housing situation.

With a player base that demand HQ gear and consumables, it's pointless to say "but NPC vendors sell NQ versions of those things with inflated prices" because players still aren't going to want to buy the NQ versions if HQ can be crafted or obtained through quest rewards.

As for your idea, it's interesting though I'd say the charged Crystal generated should be used specifically for ALC/CUL consumables, with the ALC consumables applied to gear to give the glow effect/other property on a temporary basis. If the effect needs to be refreshed, it would drive up demand for the consumables and thereby increase the value of the charged crystal. It would also allow them to be applied to the tomestone/dungeon/trial/raid gear.

HQ crafting is not being removed. They stressed multiple times in the exact sources you mention that it is only affected gathered materials. Intermediate crafts (ingots, lumber, etc.) and final products can still be crafted as HQ.

A competent crafter with up to date gear needs no HQ gathered materials to create a HQ item. It's easy enough to HQ the intermediate crafts for Exarchic to get HQ on the gear.

The only reason most crafters would buy HQ gathered materials is because it was the cheapest way to get the quantity they needed. That's part of why HQ gathered materials were an easy target for removal by the developers - they could see that crafters were generally ignoring them.

HQ didn't do anything to make gathering feel more interesting to me (probably because I was always gathering for yield not quality unless HQ was needed for a gathering class quest).

Rating (which is essentially a form of quality) will still mean something when doing collectables. I expect the system to remain the same so we'll always want to hit 1000 to get guaranteed aethersands so that's something.

I wish SE would consider bringing back Hidden items. Those could have been a good replacement for HQ - as long as they stayed out of the job quests and the hidden items used to craft vanity items like cosmetic gear, minions, furnishings, etc.

Sorry but if this is really true you are doing something terribly wrong. If you know what you are doing and playing that long its basicly impossible to be broke and by this time you also should allready have bought everything you want from the market board. There are more than enough really good guides on youtube and here in the forum how to make money. Just stick to one method or two if you really need some for a few days or weeks and you will have more than enough (if you dont wanna buy a big plot or some glamour thats worth like 20m or more).

Just for comparsion the last weeks i only log in for about an hour each day to manage my retainers and some stuff because i play other games until the new addon comes out. I made thx to selling stuff through my retainers a bit less than 40m during the last 4 weeks and the only thing i did was restocking stuff when they sold something and cleaning my inventory. Makeing money is easy in this game you just need to focus on it.

They could always offer two versions: Nirmal and one with a particle effect like they do with the level 50 Heavy Wolfram Cuirass and Augmented Heavy Wolfram Cuirass.
    That way everyone is happy.
