So honestly with the news of hq removal, it seems gil will overall become more and more worthless. Most people will never obtain a house, apartments are running out of other limitations. Almost all items can be bought from npc so why would we buy from people on the marketboard when there is no High grade version with better stats/use more often. There is none that I can think of so I was thinking while playing Final fantasy 7 remastered we could use a new mode in the open world that could benefit all aspects of Final Fantasy ffxiv. The solution “adventure mode”


What is adventure mode?
Glad you asked, this mode would allow the open world all across the game to be made useful and into a mini game. Think of the bike chase in Final fantasy 7, the snowboard game in the original and so on.

How would this make gil worth something?
This solution would add a npc to all the starting zones so that when you buy a ticket (599k+) you will obtain a clear crystal. These clear crystals will have a charge amount based on the size you buy from the npc.

What would you charge it with?

You would charge these crystals with Aether based on the zone. Many zones could be wind, fire, earth, light, dark, ice etc.

How would you obtain the charge?
You would start a solo/or tag-team adventure mode at the start of the zone after both of you buy a clear crystal. Upon completion of “waves” you will obtain a charge based on how many kills you got.

What would the result be?
The result would be an Aspect Crystal; these crystals could be used as an addition when crafting in order to add glows/properties to the items usable on anything in the game that is craft able.

What about cooking/alchemy?
This would be where the fun starts upgrading potions/cooking to have a use across the board outside of selected content. I call this benefit of what you eat/drink.

For these lets say you charge or buy a fully charge crystal with Wind
Your food or potion will give you more healing, stats sure but it would also increase the timer of how long it lasts by 10 minutes. While decreasing the cd hugely.
