Does "Answers" have a place in Endwalker?

I ordered the Endwalker vinyl and while waiting for it, been listening to Answers. I wonder if it will/should appear in Endwalker. It seems fitting that the song at the beginning of the story should be there at the end. Doesn't even have to be during gameplay, just during the credits. No disrespect to Soken or Footfalls. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic.

Just thought of something right before I submitted this. Footfalls has leitmotifs of the other expansions, sooooo maaybe Answers isn't completely out of the question.

the verse that starts 'now open your eyes while our plight is repeated...' seems incredibly relevant to EW so I feel like a version of the song could be there.

I think it would be a nice bookend to season 1 of FFXIV if it ended with Answers. Especially for legacy players like me whose journeys in this world started with that song playing in the 1.0 introduction sequence after you made a new character.

Answers is like a cloudy sky; you can see the shape of just about anything you want to in it. With writers as skilled as we have on XIV, you can be sure they're looking at all sorts of historic stuff, especially Answers, trying to find natural and organic retroactive connections that most will assume were intended all along.

I can guarantee it'll turn up in there in either quoted lines or leitmotifs during dramatic moments, and it will be a big thing for the people who care about Answers.

On the other hand, I will continue to not be able to hum a bar of it or recognize a single word, and I and others like me who don't recognize the song will also be quite happy. ...well okay maybe not that far, but any unhappiness I do feel will not be because I didn't catch an Answers reference.

It'd be nice to have Answers, Dragonsong, Revolutions, and Shadowbringers kick in at one point. Although based off the walk down memory lane at the start of Patch 5.3 I fully expect them to play Answers, Dragonsong, and Nightbloom at one point because apparently screw the main theme of Stormblood.

Technically most times the game and its marketing materials wants to call back to the previous expansions, the songs chosen are "Torn From The Heavens", "Heavensward", and "Storm Of Blood" (thus far). I assume "Shadowbringers" will fill that role for the titular expansion; they're all the cinematic trailer songs except for Torn From The Heavens, which I suspect (without proof) might be due to Answers being a little bland when condensed into a brief leitmotif form.

Therefore, I'd say the "counterpart" songs to these expansions would be used as a set themselves, namely "Answers", "Dragonsong", and "Revolutions". The Shadowbringers equivalent should be "Tomorrow And Tomorrow", I think, and the Endwalker version would probably be the song playing at the beginning of the launch trailer.

(And I also admit to being unimpressed with the Stormblood main theme "Storm Of Blood"; it's very clearly written to be made for the cinematic trailer, and thus rather disjointed. "Revolutions" is fine, but as you mentioned, it doesn't often get used as a leitmotif.)

Considering that Endwalker is wrapping up the 1.0 storyline, it would feel wrong if Answers didn't play a part.
