    Battle Inducing Effects

    My questions when will we get a comprehensive database that includes which part of each mob's susceptibilities to incapacitating weaponskills. SE started a generic list serving as the basis for further discovery. Example: we know that skull sunder II knocks horns off of billy goats or knocks off the skull of skeletons. But though a mob may not have a specific body part that can be knocked off DOESN'T mean you can not incapacitate it! For example using seismic shock II (limbs (lower)) on wild hogs I've been able to make the mob stumble even though their legs will not come off. My question is if there is still so much Battle tactics yet to be discovered/made popular why is "everyone" SO ready for the system to be overhauled? I want tweak too, but with more tactic base and not just MORE mashing buttons for MORE dmg like DD.

    the system overhaul is not necessarily with the abilities, but with other aspects. A complete overhaul of the entire game won't happen, it would be basically designing a new game. So far the primary complaints about the system have been, lack of stat point meaning, as well as vague party roles stemming from the current classes. The auto-attack discussion has people going both ways, with most of the support for the auto-attack being due to annoyance at having to hit the same button 10-20 times a battle, every battle. There has been little discussion about changing class abilities beyond class uniqueness, for which there are ways to implement without changing abilities.

    Well we ultimately have to follow developer's lead and hopefully(a big hope here) like their decisions.

    For instance we know developers are seriously considering taking out physical levels and putting them into job levels. From there we can speculate how that would work, in what ways, and what would be fixed/enhanced from such a move.

    Some like auto attack and AH, where last known is "looking into" becomes a big glob of mess, because we have no idea the hundreds of directions developers will jump in.

    But every major system in FF14 needs to be seriously looked at and most likely changed. It's sad that the game is in such a sad state, but that's why it was unanimously, world wide, voted worse game of the year.

    Battle system, class system, stat system, economy system, UI system, from up to down, things the majority(who still care) want drastically improved.

    Definitely I would include skills and abilities in there as well. The whole thing needs to be audited and trim down, and redone.

    Nothing is going to be the same. They can be, or FF14 will be closing it's page in history soon.
