    Can't finish Eureka Pagos

    While I've already submitted a bug report in-game (I think that's all I can do about it while playing the game), here's what's going on:

    I'm trying to finish the elemental level 35 questline for Eureka Pagos. I did the first event of picking the quest up from Krile, then did the second event of the cutscene at the northeast part of the map. Right afterward, I got killed by a mob and was forced to respawn, causing me to level down to 34 (out of the quest level). While I did grind my way back to level 35, whenever I try to initiate the final event of talking to Krile at Icepoint once more, it initiates her dialogue, then it either goes to an endless black loading screen or it force quits my game client.

    Regardless of instance, this happens every single time I try to finish the quest. I have completed an Elemental weapon in Pagos, I am elemental level 35, I have completed any prerequisites for the questline, yet I am apparently not allowed to finish this one questline, meaning that I am not allowed to progress in Eureka until this is resolved.

    Yes, I am necro'ing this thread, and no, I don't care because after NINE MONTHS, this has STILL not be fixed.

    Same issue: trying to finish the elemental level 35 questline for Eureka Pagos, did the first event of picking the quest up from Krile, then did the second event of the cutscene at the northeast part of the map, and whenever I try to initiate the final event of talking to Krile at Icepoint once more, it initiates her dialogue, then it force quits my game client. All this because I was killed and forced to down-level because no one would raise me.

    So what does that tell you? If it's been nine months and no one else has complained about this, and nothing has changed, and SE hasn't stated any fixes have been put in place, and you've noticed no progress on this being "fixed," you can deduce either of the following. Which you choose depends on how strong your logic is:

    - SE is ignorant, incompetent, and allows a flaw to remain in their game that keeps people from finishing Eureka Pagos. This would be some thousands of players per day, which would result in the Technical Support and In-Game Bug forums being awash with complaints (note that they aren't); or

    - You have an issue with your game files that's causing this problem.

    You decide... but geez - nine months. I'd have tried to troubleshoot this by then, instead of blaming someone else and sitting on feelings of frustration, especially when I couldn't find anyone else complaining about the thing I'm complaining about. Do you really think the game is broken when there's been no other complaints in nine months? That's very odd, warped, broken logic. I am sorry to be blunt, but it is.

    I wouldn't normally take this attitude right out of the box ... but you did come back YELLING in your NECRO for no reason at all.

    If you want this fixed, take Milkie's advice and delete (or rename, to backup) your character's files in the client folder. Necroing a complaint every so many months to express how frustrated you still are isn't going to get anyone anywhere, and is literally the most useless thing you can do to fix a problem that only you, yourself, are having.

    I've googled this for you and retrieved the instructions, so you don't even have to do that:

    If PC player, you may have to delete you character data folder from C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

    The character folder looks something like this: FFXIV_CHR004000xxxxxxxxxx

    You may want to make a backup copy of any data you delete... some of it may be recoverable, like your Gearset or Macro files. Those are probably the most time consuming to reset after you get back into the game. (the rest of the display, sound stuff, not so hard.) Maybe UI or HUD layout could be a pain though....
