Riddle of Earth no longer removes positional requirements, presumably because it would only affect a single weaponskill per 123 combo. But it still has three stacks that are consumed whenever you use a weaponskill.

Nah, we'll be fine.
Removing or not, it doesn't matter.
I'm sure most of us here are still doing the postionals like they are still exists.
We're more comfortable that way.
For sure.. I suppose we will have to see how this Blitz system is. Maybe the changes were justified, but maybe not.

Main job: SCH/MNK
Raid job: Gathering

I'm inclined to think not. The only skill to weave between our rotation now is forbidden chakra. Elixir Field and Tornado Kick have been relegated to blitzes. The job already felt kind of hollow when GL was changed to a trait, and further gutting out the job to add in a blitz every 40 seconds isn't terribly exciting.
MAYBE this would be a little better if the window was every 20 seconds like ninjutsu, I'd even take half potency on the blitz attacks to add to the engagement a little. But we can already see this probably wouldn't be enough as ninja mains have been saying how the job is very dull between trick attack windows, and they still had not only the ninjutsu, but also ninki attacks. I can already predict that monk will need more changes pretty quickly in order to add some degree of engagement.
A simple solution would be to add back the positional requirements and add the true north effect to the three charges of perfect balance. No need to worry about the positionals for blitzes if the skill that starts a blitz negates the need to move for them.
See this I agree with and feel it is a much more valid concern, I am super sad about the loss of so many OGCD's feel like they could have just gone straight to Phantom Rush and let us keep Tornado kick
