Triple Triad Tournament Times

To be clear, I am not talking about the open tournaments that come around every two hours, I am talking about the main tournaments that come around every two weeks.

I live in New Mexico and play on the Jenova server. For me, the tournaments begin at 1:00 am Tuesday morning. This is a problem because I have to get up for work. I can't afford to stay up that late, and I am sure I am not the only person for whom this is a problem.

I've noticed that the Battlehall is full as soon as the tournament begins, but by the time I get off work on Tuesday it is pretty sparse. Nearly everyone who plans to play has done so. It takes over 20 minutes to get a match in the match finder, which is awful. There are times when getting a mahjong match is quicker than finding a player match later in the week.

I am reasonably certain that you can only play against other players on your server. A player on Midgardsormr can't play against a player on Sargantis right? I base this on the fact that I have only been paired with players I can see standing in the battlehall with me. Also, the tournament rankings board is server specific.

If this is the case, why can't we adjust the times for each server according to their predominant time zone? Instead of having the tournaments begin at 1am Tuesday morning, how about noon on Saturday when more it is more reasonable for most players?

It is nearly impossible to participate in the tournament unless I go into work totally sleep deprived the next day. I just think this could be set up more reasonably so that others can participate as well. What do the rest of you think?

The battle hall is instanced and takes people from across your data center. Also you can play people once per battle hall lockout. So if you played me we would not be able to play again in a tournament match until the instance reset. It’s not as many points but you can also play the npcs in the battle hall as well.

Because the game is played world wide there technically is no "predominant time zone". as players we've been conditioned that other than "prime time" on the server anything that happens at the time of the daily/weekly server reset is usually the time you need to be on in order to get specific things done that you want to do that may not happen any other time. like TT tournaments. If you really want to do it, you're going to have bite the bullet and be a little tired at work if you want to play. The game isn't going to cater to everyone's personal schedule, you're going to have to adjust around it. If you're not willing to do that, well, then you're going to have to accept that it's a you problem, since it's a worldwide service game.
