A lot of the main issues with SCH are not being addressed with Endwalker

I would suggest gaining Miasma, Bane and Fester from the soon-to-be-defunct Shadowbringers SMN and using Fester as the new Energy Drain. 100 potency with no dots on your target, 200 potency for one dot, 300 potency for two. Would be a major upgrade in DPS life for SCH and gets rid of Energy Drain which is even more underwhelming in Endwalker.

By the build they had in the media tour, SMN is keeping Fester and Pain Flare. Sorry to kill that idea for you. As for adding bane back, if they do that they should also bring back Aero III on WHM and give AST and Sage an equivalent spell. Aero III was one of the few WHM spells that survived the SB butchering of WHM. The spell I'd love to be back on SCH is eye for an eye so Deployment Tactics could be used on it again.

My thoughts exactly. Here's to hoping we get a major Scholar rework in 7.0 or even a mid-expansion one. Otherwise, I'm completely jumping ship to Sage.

I think sadly this is what a ton of SCH are doing, just jumping over to Sage. 3 expansions now Sch has had either parts of their kit taken away and given to the new healer or just had new capstone abilities just not function with the core ideal of the job. Sch has always been my main healer in the game prominently playing it as my main job in ARR, parts of HW, SB, and ShB but I don't think I can do it anymore... The idea of what the job is and how it actually plays are just so against its self... Even if the numbers on it are amazing and it ends up being the "best" healer because of dps or whatever. The general feel of the job is just not good to me anymore.

I have some weird ideas for what they could do for most of Scholar's janky feeling but they probably would mostly be OP so I won't really go into them here.

I think they are very similar right now from what I read on paper. They both are barrier healers. The only thing I see that's distinct is the faerie. I'm unsure how barrier will differ from galvanize.

So, here's some suggestions.

1. Get rid of Dissipation and make it a 2nd charge of Aetherflow. Gets rid of all the issues associated with the skill blocking off your fairy skills.
2. Make Selene useful again.
   • Split Fey Illumination and Fey Covenant again and give 1 to each fairy. So 15% Heal buff on Eos and 15% mitigation on Selene
   • Make Fey Blessing into either a burst heal or a shield based on which fairy is out
   • Leave Embrace and Whispering Dawn as is because Noct AST has shown Regen vs Shields can't be balanced out between the 2 so let's just not mess with it.
3. Adjust Seraph a bit
   • Reintroduce Rouse as a Low Level Version of Seraph that enhances all of your fairy healing abilities by 5% (Seraph goes up to 8-10%)
   • Seraphic Illumination will add an addition 5% Heal buff or Mitigation buff, depending on which fairy was out. I.E, if Eos is used, Seraph's Illumination will have a 15% healing buff and 5% Mitigation and Vice Versa.
   • Fey Blessing turns into Consolation when Seraph is out.
4. Change Aetherpact into an ability that allows us to have both our Fairies out that stack their effects during the duration with a duration based on how much gauge we have available. Think Neutral Sect meets Automaton Queen
5. Instant cast for Fairy Summons
6. Add a Slow effect to Art of War reminiscent of Shadowflare's old effect
7. Add an AoE DoT that stacks with our ST DoT (Do this with all Healers really)

Is it perfect? No, but it would address several clunky issues that SCH currently has, while trying to deal with some button bloat and making the job feel more synergistic as a whole.
