If you don't check their gear how do you know it is or not an issue?I don't even check tank gear so idk. Like its just never been an issue? Considering you can heal through stormblood dungeons even as three people without a tank, I think blaming gear and kicking someone is pretty lame. Especially after they listen and try to wall pull which i think is great. Now this person might be even more reluctant to wall pull in the future.
Oh forums, never change.
OP: Man, I had a short but very bad run as tank. I feel like the healer wasn't even trying.
Forums: You're wrong. Here's a list of why you're wrong, what you did that was wrong, and why you're a terrible tank.
OP: wut?
Forums: You're such a troll.
If you read this entire thread, and that's the conclusion you came to, I have to think there's more than one troll here...Oh forums, never change.

Trolls calling people trolls for saying they're trolls is such a troll thing to do.
How about you just say, "That's rough, man. Your gear probably played a part, but if you say the healer wasn't doing a good job that makes it even worse. Hope you have smoother future runs."
But no, trolls gotta lecture. That's the conclusion I came to. Truly baffling behavior.

Or maybe, they could be like "I know you're frustrated and feel like lashing out at the healer, but you should take responsibility for the part you played in creating that mess and work on yourself if you want smoother runs" But no, that would be expecting people to actually want to get better. And trolls gotta white knight. Truly baffling behavior.
Don't you understand that you're forcing upon him a lesson that he never asked for, and probably doesn't need, in the rudest manner possible?Or maybe, they could be like "I know you're frustrated and feel like lashing out at the healer, but you should take responsibility for the part you played in creating that mess and work on yourself if you want smoother runs" But no, that would be expecting people to actually want to get better. How does the air taste up on that soapbox? Does it taste like justice or is it just smokey and hot? Take responsibility? What, is he a felon? Just stop.

No one is, actually. No one is going over to the OP and chaining him to a screen and forcing him to read these posts, neither is anyone forcing him to participate in a public discussion forum, and further still, no one is forcing him to be understanding of anyone else's stance in this situation.
I'd say you're being too sensitive about the situation, but this is kinda par for the course for you, and you've even replied to yourself, so I guess you're lacking stimulation these days.
It was this point where OP checked out of the conversation after near constant ridicule.
Me being too sensitive? Seems more like it was just about everyone but me that was freaking out, mocking and finding new and fun ways to tell OP how bad he is.
No one is forcing you to reply to his thread, either. What's your point? Mine seems pretty clear.
This whole thread got pretty gross for no reason than other than a bunch of trolls finding a way to assert their superiority complex on a player that had a bad experience and I really hope it dies
Right
Here.
