Being completely disinterested in learning from this again shows that you're no better than the healer in the story tbh. Are you forgetting the simple fact that your side of the story doesn't add up correctly? It's this that has people filling in the gaps themselves. Again, please don't take this as me trying to defend the healer, my impression is that this is just a case of 'when bads collide'. Take that as you will.

It's really not. You just aren't being honest. The fact you think you need to learn nothing from this situation is astonishing.

If anything the one thing you should take away from this is that wearing level 60 gear for the wrong class in a level 69 dungeon is not acceptable.

Just because a team can carry your laziness does not make it so.

I came back and saw some petty users here misrepresenting what had happened and commented on it.

I told you on both encounters, I began by using the AOE attack as my tank class. Before I could mitigate damage and or attack again I was killed. I saw the healer not heal at all.

You have to put yourself in the situation. The first mob running in with an attack and before you even can do the next action, you die because you took a lot of damage. You're going to sit there and say "well how come you didn't react within a half press of a button?"

You didnt read the many times i clarified the situation. This situation happened in the span of 2 seconds. A half button press and stubborn team mates.

Mind you, it wasnt 3 mobs or groups. It was 3 dudes. Not 3 sets of 3 or 4 guys. Just 3. In the span of 2 seconds, my life gets melted, healer was just negligent. Im glad im not crazy and many others here understand that healers can just be bad.

Ok cool. We're certain you died in 2 seconds. Basically a GCD.

You don't think it's reasonable to expect you to have gotten an instant cast oGCD cooldown off but you expect some random duty roulette healer to not only be able to react in time, but also manage to stop moving and fire off a 2 second cast heal in the same timeframe?

If you're not interested in learning pointers to help make tanking these dungeons smoother with the inevitable sleepy/afk healer, then at least consider not leaning so heavily on hyperbole and exaggerations to get your point across. This should have been another footnote in the tales from the DF thread, instead you ballooned it into some ugly monstrosity with your claims.

If they are leveling through Bozja or Shadowbringers beast trible quests then I could see why they might not feel like upgrading their gear. Heck, I did the same thing with some of my jobs while leveling. But if they are going into roulettes and dungeons like that and getting lvl 78+ duties...oof. Those poor healers.

What I don’t understand is OP said many pages back that he finished the dungeon and it was all fine. He said he isn’t looking for pointers/tips and he’s tanking just fine. Why don’t you guys lay off and find something better to do with your time than continuing to harass this poor guy.

All he did was vent a little frustration like we all do at times. Rather right or wrong, you vets are being so nasty and cruel. Leave this guy alone and let him have fun and learn.

P.S. OP I am so sorry you have been treated this way. These few bad apples aren’t a representation on most of the ffxiv community I assure you.
