Here I thought healing was too easy, healers WANT to heal but there is never enough damage done to heal, one heal cast per pack, etc...yet the tank died twice before the first boss and before anyone else?

The conclusion seems clear.
Does a healer need to heal for one pack of mobs if the tank is actually using cooldowns (and isn't extremely undergeared)?
Also, wanting more engagement in healing isn't the same as spam healing an undergear tank or people who don't dodge avoidable damage/don't do mechanics. The fun of healing comes from planning and timing your heals, filling the vast amount of extra time with DPSing and buffing/debuffing. I know it's a shocker but healers aren't babysitters here to facilitate everyone else's fun, we want our own fun as well.
Tanks are similar in that regard: Their gameplay revolves around planning and timing their cooldowns and filling the void with DPSing.
