People expectations are always way out of proportions with the gogo mentality and everyone outgearing dungeons.
One thing that squenix could put in place is having accessories contribute less to your total Ilvl. That way people being "undergeared" would be less frequent.
Minimum ilevel requirements are one of the most heavily criticized aspects of the game. They're almost always set too low, don't account for role-agnostic gear and can be easily skewed by equipping a few pieces of synced gear.

Thinking that a GNB should be tankier than a DRG at level 69 isn't ridiculous at all.
