Something I'm curious about is whether or not the TC was bothering to mitigate damage properly because I've had instances where I thought it was okay to DPS only for the tank to drop from around 70% to dead almost instantly before I could even react with an OGCD because they were pulling big but not making sure to have some kind of mitigation up at all times.
Though in that case I didn't get any commends whatsoever so I'm assuming everyone thought it was my fault...

I am not doing a lot of damage in the dungeon roulette, i focus on heal. Specially when i am new in a dungeon. And as a Tank i pull group by group. It might take a minute o two longer to complete a dungeon, who cares.
Yeah... The DPS propaganda is brainwashing healers into thinking their primary objective is dps, elitism on the rise, absolutely no regard for new tanks. I've seen this happen countless times in random runs unfortunately.
As a main healer I stick to the tank, if the tank does very small boring pulls, nobody is in any danger of dying, I just politely ask if they are up for doing bigger pulls. In most cases it works, in some it doesn't, so I just follow while watching Anime.

I don't think it's hard to fathom the storm blood level 69 dungeon... The first two mobs. Our party died. The first time was because they thought I was going to pull more so they abandoned me and not support. The second time the healer did not heal me and I died.Without having their version of the story, it sounds like they are right in this case, otherwise they wouldn't have agreed on the votekick.
I am genuinely confused how the DPS can die on trash mobs if you are doing your tank job correctly.
Yes healers should heal, but if the DPS die on trash mobs, I doubt the healer is the issue.
I told you on both encounters, I began by using the AOE attack as my tank class. Before I could mitigate damage and or attack again I was killed. I saw the healer not heal at all.
They wished to argue after I suggested that the healer do its job. Of course the DPS are going to die after I died because they're the next people to pull aggro.
You have to put yourself in the situation. The first mob running in with an attack and before you even can do the next action, you die because you took a lot of damage. You're going to sit there and say "well how come you didn't react within a half press of a button?"Something I'm curious about is whether or not the TC was bothering to mitigate damage properly because I've had instances where I thought it was okay to DPS only for the tank to drop from around 70% to dead almost instantly before I could even react with an OGCD because they were pulling big but not making sure to have some kind of mitigation up at all times.

Let's get real here. This whole situation happened within like 2 minutes. This isn't as complicated as some users here are making it out to be. I'm not sure why it's hard to fathom that we can run into bad players. We weren't in the dungeon for that long.
As a Healer I like to DPS when I can but if the tank requires my full attention then they get it.
Usually due to huge pulls to aoe down. So I have no problem doing a lot more healing in those scenarios.
If the tank is dying and the healer is DPSing then the Healer needs to reevaluate if healing is for them.
I talked to a supposed scholar main who says that they played this game for seven whole years.Yeah... The DPS propaganda is brainwashing healers into thinking their primary objective is dps, elitism on the rise, absolutely no regard for new tanks. I've seen this happen countless times in random runs unfortunately.

This is what they said to me:
"The healer supposed to do damage."
I respond: and you don't find anything wrong with that sentence at all?
Again the context behind this conversation was, as a scholar main I'm in situations where the party is in need of healing. And I don't mean that they got a slight scratch and I need to top them off. I mean the tank is at less than half and I need to start healing. Sometimes I feel like I got to heal like two people just to keep them alive. I don't mind that. I'll throw my dots when I can but I'm not going to sit there and use up cast time for my damage spells.
This guy is carrying on like I don't know what I'm doing and it's suggesting that I learned his rotation. I said dude, I understand the rotation. It's on my bar. Got to level 80 no problem. He responds back to me genuinely clueless. And I told him I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're not clueless you're just not listening. He carried on to defend the fact that he was genuinely clueless. I facepalmed... There are some dumb people that play this game... Even after 7 years. He actually blamed the Creator for why he thinks DPS is necessary for a healer class... I still don't buy it.
Sounds like the group wanted to pull more than one pack. Next time instead of complaining about heals I recommend pulling more.Im unsure if its the witching hour when I get on but I have had already a few groups in my lvl 69 dungeon where they are just irritable. As a tank, i am supposed to engage correct? stance is up, i use my AoE attack and then either continue attacking and or mitigate damage. sounds simple correct?
My team leaves out of range...full well seeing me stop. I die due to no heals. They explain that they believed i was pulling more. I said no problem. its okay. how do we get to the next batch and still die? we all stopped and I observe my healer doing DPS...on 3 peeps...
I suggested my healer should heal. as I'm typing the two DPS die. i say...my man...just hit the heal button. The DPS whom died ...defends the healer? the one who isn't doing his job? its like im in the twilight zone here. how are they getting mad at me for suggesting the healer do the one thing they need to do? "just play the game" they said. I respond "...we can't...we're dying...at the second mob..." They did a vote kick..which in itself was a favor to me. I can't stand that sort of ignorance. Needless to say I reported those cross server users. It's just baffling to me how people act this way.
Second point, I'm unsure how people believe its okay to focus DPS while the team needs heals. I don't mean like top them off from a scratch, I mean, were at 10% where are you on this? I believe many MANY people are mislead that DPS is a big priority to a healer when healing needs to be done. I'm told the creator is to blame but I don't buy it. Its one thing if one says "DO DPS, it saves 10 seconds" but its another when you're casting DMG spells and see people die. I main SCH and I've been in tough spots where I'm healing with no downtime.
