This seems kind of counter intuitive but with Steam Deck on the horizon (Q1-Q2 2022), I know myself and maybe a few other players may have a strong desire to play the game on Steam. I've always had the standalone Client and its always seemed like Steam had a messy implementation. Doesn't it just seem like making Steam a Standalone Platform from Windows would fix a lot of these issues? Just allow me to buy the game again on the platform like I do already for Mac and PS4. Even if I have to buy it from Steam and it show up as a separate License, I'm OK with that solution than not having access.
