"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why this is a bad thing? Don't got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all in the game. Why is that a problem? Why must you feel the need to argue about something in a video game? We are not competing, and having a bad group is not that big of a deal.
And if you want to "argue' you can do it outside the game through discord or whatever chat consoles people have with people.
The point is, even if you consider it a fake kindness, that is better than what wow and new world is going through right now. So I will gladly take harsh enforce rules and people just not talking over that.
Cheers !

Ah, the essential liberty to swear like a sailor at that one dude who Cure spammed you. If you want your freedom of speech, remember to take with it a side salad of consequences.
Mortal Fist
I think that there is a difference between saying that someone can't have an opinion, and between expecting a base level of respect.
The problem with just letting people run loose on the internet is that you end up with people who are completely deranged and unhinged hijacking it.
You get a handful of extremely toxic people who just spam and take over the whole thing and then any normal person just ends up not talking.
Sometimes some peoples freedoms actually compromises the freedom of other people.
To me this is like not letting people take a dump in the street.
Yes it's a limitation on your freedom, but I think that we can basically all agree that we don't want the streets to smell like shit.
The issue is that people who are really toxic just bring the entire thing down.
If you have a group of five people and everyone is having fun and getting along and then one just starts lashing out it brings the entire thing down for the other four.
Why is that one person ranting more important than the four having a good time?
It brings down the entire atmosphere for everyone.

Only problem i have with your mindset is that, as usual, toxicity only means "being mean" which is a very narrow way to see this whole stuff.
And the group thing will always depend of what kind of person is in that group, 3 terrible players and 1 skilled one, if the skilled one say something he's toxic.
3 skilled player that want to down it fast, last guy that keeps dying again and again and cries if the 3 others says something to this person, is the one dying toxic or that's the majority that expect the bare minimum from him ?
Pretty sure you will say the 3 skilled while in this group the one ruining the fun here is the unskilled one.
