you are right lol, my sincere apologies.
Given SE's past treatment of RP'ers, targeting them instead of the RMT people who seem to be able to do whatever they want and make real money off SE, is there an actual perception in the RP community that SE would somehow change their ways and do something for RP'ers despite essentially throwing away their money to do it?
A little late but SE is actually incredibly supportive of RPers, pointing them out as the reason they add small "immersive" things like eating, sweeping, and similar emotes, the RP player symbol, the housing tags, etc. The pf takedowns were done by a lone moderator who was made to stop shortly after their actions were brought up to SE.honest question though to the RP crowd asking for these....
SE hasnt been exactly what I would call "supportive" of RP'ers, if you do not recall, there were bans earlier in the year for advertising RP events, (while the RMT people advertised their hearts out and nothing happened to them)
As for chat bubbles, I actually don't see a point to them for RP as RP is (from my own experience) usually more in /em or /party and not /say. Speech bubbles would include the actions in them which would look awkward above a characters head. Either way, if optional then it being added would be fine, but I wouldn't be using it as someone on a busy server.

5 USD a pop, mogstation only. Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
I the RP group I followed here bounced off this game so hard because trying to follow a conversation in /say is a disaster. The IG chat client is one of the slower ones I've encountered, the customization is on the poor side, the lack of addons makes fixing either of those impossible without breaking the ToS, and it fights you if you dare attempt to scroll back to see something you missed. As for chat bubbles, I actually don't see a point to them for RP as RP is (from my own experience) usually more in /em or /party and not /say. For the record, I find chat bubbles just as hard to follow and there's no such thing as "scrollback" for those.
As you mentioned much RP is done in /p or /fc just to filter the noise down to a manageable level. The knock-on effect is that RP here tends to be very insular. Chat implementations are a key feature for RP. One that's not fit for purpose isn't exactly "RP Friendly" in the least.
And single character only.

"what if FFXIV had proximity chat" Warning, coarse language.
But damn funny and wayy too true.
I do not want voice chat in game, if you wanna talk to people there's plenty of solutions that are free and easy to use.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
I have not laughed this hard for a while, thank you.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omDfsvFgxlY
