And some people don't see the point of doing savage or glam? And how can it be an eye sore of it's optional?? You are just cherry-picking and your reason boils down to 'I do t want it'.Ocean fishing lets people quickly level up their fishing gatherer and is pretty easy to access.
Savage fits anyone who's any kind of hard core in a game.
Glam is for anyone who wants to be fabu/is a collector, same for many other items.
A lot of people just don't see any point in having 'chat bubbles' and think it would be a waste of resources. I've played a few games where you could only talk in chat bubbles, and it was a HUGE eye sore in seeing who said what/keeping track of it and I personally don't think it'd be a good usage of their time to add (I actually think it's the worst kind of system to have players chat in any game)
yep , but SE is adamant about implementing them for playersDoesn't the game already have a basic implementation of chat bubbles? You see NPCs using them all the time. Although I suppose there'd need to be some kind of management for excessively large text strings. It could easily be a client-side toggle, and even in a city with a load of shout chat going on, you're only going to see messages from people close to you anyway.![]()
Ok, and? It's called an opinion for a reason.
Still stand by the fact that I think it's the worst kind of chat system to have in any kind of multi-player game.
Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV
Yeah, you have to put your log in info into it, which is icky.
But I've seen videos of it working and it does look very nice. I'm jealous tbh.
It's a solid proof of concept that I wish SE would take off of the modding space by providing a better, and safer official option.
But don't actually use the mod though.
Opinions are like buttholes...
I personally think that having the most important part of my social interaction quarantined into a portion of my screen that I don't look at to be the worst kind of chat system in an immersive multiplayer genre.
Currently one butthole is being forced upon me.
And it's not my own. And it makes for a very uncomfortable experience.
I'd like bubbles for sure. Its such chaos trying to see who is saying what in big crowds, when text is rolling away in chat. However, it should indeed be an optional feature.
Voice chat would be a no for me tho.

I genuinely laugh at the idea of voice chat. Because if you were to enter one with me while I'm doing content all you'll hear is a woman constantly repeating 'what the f***' on repeat when things go mildly wrong.
At first when starting the game, it felt really weird to not have any chat bubbles.Hey, i aware of how SE see addons but i feel like the option to have chat bubbles ingame would be so good. Let's make this happen ppl.
Also, when i played WoW, they have a nice in game voip for PF that helps a lot when ppl dont want to keep joining different discord channels once and a while. I get that in some situations it may be enforced to join the voip to join the group so this could not be a very good idea but i mean, that could be a good addition if nothing like this happen.
Then even now whenever I roleplay, I find it weird to not have any chat bubbles.
Yes for chat bubbles! Make it happen!
Also for all the people who would say: "NOOO I don't want chat bubbles because <Random reason>" then I would also suggest an option to turn off chat bubbles.
Now they don't have an excuse to say No.
