The hit effects are great and it feels nice and fluid overall.
The only thing stopping me from playing it is being forced into the hobo coat when I use enshroud. Looks good on some chars, sure, but not on my stupid rabbit.

Did they give Miqo'te mini-hoods for their ears in Shroud form? Because they definitely need to add ears on the voidbuns.

I got used to that years ago on my Asura in Guild Wars 2, that's also a Reaper (Necromancer Elite class that essentially does the exact same thing - transform you into a big shroud monster. So I go from being a 'potato' to an undead trenchcoat fetishist.
It's a temporary transformation, and in FFXIV there are so many effects going off anyway it's a miracle sometimes to even be able to find my own toon - even when I disable everyone else's effects. But this one is at least semi-visible.
It's nice to have a tell though that other classes can... hopefully... spot better. So once I do perfect my timing on things, other people will know what phase of things I'm in for coordinating... because I sure can't spot theirs most of the time. Effects on or off...![]()
Striving for perfection is the path to one's downfall. 'Tis the paradox of the immaculate carrot. | Jah Bless. One God, One Aim, and One Destiny - Marcus Garvey.
Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war - Ras Tafari.
It looks fine until I turn my camera, lmao. This stupid face in that super edgy coat just looks bizarre. Would prefer if it just gave you a shadowy face with glowing eyes like old FF Black Mages, the dwarves, those NPCs in the last area of MSQ, yknow.I got used to that years ago on my Asura in Guild Wars 2, that's also a Reaper (Necromancer Elite class that essentially does the exact same thing - transform you into a big shroud monster. why would you ever have your camera on your face in the middle of a fight?
I don't which is why I'm still leveling the job and haven't ditched it lol. Just noticed it when I was looking while hitting the dummy in Wolf's Den.
Would still look far cooler with a Vivi-esque face though imo.
