New jobs are flashier to draw in players to try out the new jobs. Updates to current jobs are only reflected in the upgraded skills. Monk is one of those jobs that is very outdated much like Bard is before upgrades. You could argue Bloodletter still looks lame as hell.

Yeah I hope they consider updating us in the future.
It's pretty insane looking at the footage from the media tour just how flashy Reaper is.

Every animation feels top tier and incredible.
