The class I've always been waiting for, before I even knew it existed.
It seems like the child of dragoon and 3.0 drk
So all the disillusioned drk players if they haven't gone to other tanks will probably make up a not insignificant portion of the reaper players
DRK refugees are a given. I suspect a lot will be moving to Reaper if they drop tanking.
A bit too edgy for me. But i'll def try it out at some point.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
From the quick glance, Reaper is resources management focused job.
Only has 1 combo but A lots of ogcds to press, even more than DRG and SAM.
If you're already in love with heavy ogcds weaving like DRG or DRK, you'd probably love Reaper for sure.
I have my farmer outfit ready to go for when I get around to trying it out.
Huh? It has the fewest ogcd's by far, it's not even close.
-blood stalk/unveiled gibbet/unveiled gallows are all the same button and all do the same thing, single target spender for 50 soul. Grim swathe is the same thing except it's aoe
-gluttony which is on a minute cooldown.
-arcane circle which is their group utility damage buff, 120 second cooldown
-enshroud to enter lemure mode
-lemurs slice and lemures scythe which are only usable when enshrouded and are st and aoe respectively.
And then there's hells ingress, hells egress, regress, and arcane crest but this is all utility stuff and not strictly part of the combat rotation. This is really meager compared to the ogcd's that sam and drg are throwing out, and also current monk. Rpr is very much a gcd centric job.
Reaper including utility has 8 ogcds.
Dragoon including utility has 12. So it is much lower.
It's very GCD centric and at high level you probably won't be using your standard combo that much especially in large groups where Death Design will give you souls per mob death. Along with Soul Scythe charges giving you 50 soul each as well.
It is worth noting that utilities/attacks such as Hellsgate(the warps), Harpe, Soulsow/Harvest Moon, Death's Design, Whorl of Death, Arcane Crest and role actions are all usable during Shroud.
You've completely missed the point, I said "buttons to press" not "the numbers of all ogcds combined".Huh? It has the fewest ogcd's by far, it's not even close.

I ain't talking about the numbers of ogcds Reaper has, I was talking about while we're in combat.
It's downtime, to be more specific.
More buttons to press means less downtime.
As of right now, every melees have their own down time but Reaper looks like it has the least downtime among all melees.
So you will have something to press most of the time, more than when you played DRG or SAM, that's my point but obviously I haven't played Reaper yet so I don't want to get ahead of myself so this is just pure guess.
