New Gear for class only

At first, everyone can wear anything. People complain, so they make X only. Now they make class only, people complain. Does that mean we are getting the ability to wear anything back? :3

Why should the jobs get all the cool stuffs. Let be the class explicit gears to the classes.
Jobs already got JSE with 1.21 (AF and darklight set)
Now it is time for some CSE with 1.22
Maybe we get JSE + CSE with 1.23

They are only the first recipes of much more coming High-level recipes

Oh, I hope not. I'm totally gonna deck out my character with triple melded Vanya gear and an Astrolabe, and be the most pimp support/dps THM on the server

The wide variety of side grade equipment is easily my absolute favorite thing about XIV, and I really hope they stick with this sort of equipment formula down the line

Black mage can't wear vanya, yay to another useless piece of gear/weapons.

I like gear that I can use for both Blm/Thm. So you know I don't have to waste more gil than I have to.

To me, it looks like SE is trying encourage you picking a class or job you like and sticking with it. The less flexible the gear is, more gear you have to have around, if you want to be able swap classes/jobs on a whim. If you wanted to carry around full sets for all classes an jobs, not counting jewelry or shields, that would be 98 slots on inventory. So more than half my inventory counting jewelry and extra weapons, like Ifrit.

Throw in if you craft or gather, that takes up even more slots. Throw in most people carry food and medicine as well. So yeah, start picking what you want to play, we do not have room for all classes/jobs at once.

jobs and classes arent 100% mix and match so yes it is the same thing


people are really going to have to get past that hangup as more of this stuff shows up

while we are at it lets complaing how my THM cant wear BLM gear, are you saying thats wrong of them to do too?

Who said I'm complaining? I'm asking if we will ever get these designs for jobs too.

And ON that subject, BLM is the Job of THM, not vice versa. It makes sense that a job can wear it's prereqs gear and not the other way around.

BUT THAT IS A DIFFERENT SUBJECT. I'm talking about the designs in general that are for class only. I RARELY do solo content, so basically everyone is saying that I shouldn't be able to have those then.

It just makes me mad. The new vanya set looks really nice and I can't even wear it. Who plays plain conjurer anymore? Even in a small party, cnj would be gimping themselves to ever stay on cnj. Unless you just want one thing like Chameleon.
