The orchestrion should be like music played from an instrument, and have nothing to do with the BGM setting. This is music that is coming from inside the game's world and not in the background. Some of us prefer an experience, either broadly or in this game, where the only sounds they hear are the ones that the avatar they're controlling would hear. This especially seems like a no-brainer in a game where so many people like to role play.
