We're paying customers. We're totally entitled to give our views an opinions. That's why these threads even exist.
Some people want more clarification and timely communication. I'd hardly think that spoiled all things considered.

We're not kids. SE's not our dad. We don't actually owe anything to them. Sure it's good to be nice and consider what the workers have to go through, but we are the far from being spoiled brats.

To be fair its not as simple as entitlement.

SE wants our money, I want a good game - we work together. So when I say I want this, and then someone says STOP ASKING FOR THINGS - they are probably using entitlement inappropriately.

Of course there are other levels of entitlement like "I'm paying for the game so it must be designed how I want it and not like how 98% of what other people want".

The line can be very thin if not invisible.


Usually I see the word tossed around like the word trolling.

That is a much better way to defend yourself. I would have to agree, the line does get blurry. Its all about presentation and they way you phrase your comment. I may have come off as catty, for that I apologize.

Allow me to spell it out for you: We don't owe Square anything and I am sick to death of people thinking we have to just sit back and take anything they give us. Just because some people aren't satisfied does not mean they are brats and nothing about the entire run of XIV could make anyone look spoiled.

Then who justifies if the opinion is or isn't genuine. A troll is someone using intentional logical fallacies to get a rise out of people. Not a discerning opinion you personally feel is out to get your goat. And even then we don't need to defend our own opinions with "oh you're just-"nonsense.

Sqare's a big enough company to handle a few dissatisfied opinions and its clear they are willing to listen. But if you don't agree, say so with some grace instead of being just as ready to fan the flames as you suspect they are trying to cause. If they are here to cause chaos, you don't want to hand it to them on a silver platter.

Give the benefit of a doubt. Express your disagreement in a rational respectable manor as it's a win win. If they're here to cause trouble, they failed against your level headed response and if the opinion is genuine, you've instigated a decent conversation with the opportunity to expand your viewpoint against another.

I remember when i was younger. You didnt hear about games in advance, you found out when it hit the shelves. there was no advertizing, they were just games after all. You didnt have an opportunity to be in contact with anyone who worked on the games to voice an opinion about anything.

kids these days... seem so entitled in comparison. Just because you have an internet connection and payed a company money for a game does not give you any special rights. Just for some perspective, Even shareholders in SE dont have any direct influence on what they produce. Thats all I'm saying.
