For some reason I forgot to post this here
USA are just backwards with any form of measurement lolCanada, Saudi Arabia and the Phillipines are known to use variants, including Month-day-year.
My understanding is that the reason the USA does it exclusively differently is because of the USA founding fathers wanting to make a point of independance. We saw this in currency, units of measurement, their dictionary etc.

I just have to point a few things out.
1.) The chart comparison is 3 units of distance and one unit of weight on the US side, 2 units of distance and two units of weight on the other side. The US does have more that two units of weight, believe it or not.
2.) F and C are two different units of measuring temperature for two different purposes, but they're not the only units of measuring temperature. Also, who decided that the arbitrary temperature at which C is measured as zero was a "logical" base? F has a zero too you know, and it's the logical base for that unit of measurement as well.
3.) The whole of the rest of the world does not use D/M/Y, and the US is not the only country that uses M/D/Y.
That chart is :
A.) Not really funny.
B.) Inaccurate, biased, and uses intentionally leading words to describe the units of measurement that imply one arbitrary set of rules is more or less correct than any other.

Someone seems pissed on that post. I lol'd a lot tbh.
Well from 0 °C on downwards, water starts to freeze... seems logical to me.
People should start to just chill and not take anything serious, at least not in this thread lol.

I'm not upset, it's also not logical. Basing a unit of measurement on the temperatures at which a single element freezes and boils is incredibly arbitrary. It's not any more "logical" than basing 0 at where F or K bases zero, it just feels that way because someone decided for you it was the logical choice, because someone else says it the logical base.
1.) Water is one of many elements in the universe. The only thing C is more "logical" for is measuring the temperature of water.
2.) If we're using temps at which an element freezes and boils, why not Hydrogen? It's the base element from which all elements are created as well as being the most abundant element in the universe.

Think whatever you want, it doesn't make it true. C and F are both random units of measurement based on random values determined by factors that have nothing to do with logic beyond the fact that one is better at measuring the temperature of water than the other. Or at least that one uses the temperatures at which water freeze and boils as its base values.

Hey Buzzkill, why don't you relax and let people make fun of stuff for the purposes of humor? Unless it is physically painful for you to see hyperbole displayed in graph form, I don't see the point. These boards have enough negativity without you nitpicking the jokes too.

Let's all just use Kelvins and stfu <_<
