I'd hate to see what their reaction is to anyone who's a streamer AND a mentor. Please do regale us more with how above streamers and "e-celebs" you are, while consistently making post after post complaining about them and the people who dare to get entertainment out of watching them - for whatever reasons, be they a way to kill time or a genuine enjoyment of the content they make and who they are as a person.
You sure are showing how little you care about them by posting constantly in a thread about one.
...Actually, I kinda do want to see it. For...science?
every post of yours I've seen in this thread makes me feel obligated to tell you to go outside, get some perspective, and care about stuff that actually matters than whatever chip you have on your shoulder about not being popular on the video game.Hard to ignore when it's everrywhere.
We are literally playing a game where any of us can be the hero, and make our story. Yet, some around here still hero worship some players more than others. There's a topic on the forums every time a 'oh my god e-celeb streamer' so much as farts in the game. People acting like idiots in-game around them, and running around like chickens with their heads cut off just because 'so and so' showed up and is playing their game and they must act like they're the next best thing since sliced bread. News flash, they aren't. They're just another dang player in a sea of millions.
And the fact people seem to throw them on a pedestal is getting to be unreal. Like the previous guys post before mine. "Oh my god streamer shows up and these people do all this its so kul!11111". So they can't do that normally without a streamer? They can't socialize, have fun, and make events without a god to follow around? You may as well be the IRL equivalent of beast tribes following your primal.
Please spare me. Some get online to get out of the Britney days, Beiber days, and rabid humans worshiping other humans. Now it's followed us to the internet in the walking fail of humanity known as 'streaming' masquerading as a job.
Now you want to drag it into the fantasy game world where we try to escape to.
No. Thanks. This game is about taking out primals not creating new ones.
I should have quoted the person I was replying to.The idea wouldn't be to advertise the fact you're streaming I don't think.
It'd just hide notifications, block friend requests, etc.
Ideally there'd be no visual indicator that someone is using the mode, it'd just clean things up for the sake of the stream.
Last thing I need is personal information like my retainer sold some ingots for 400 gil flashing up on the stream.
What that person wanted was a way to see if someone in your dungeon was live streaming. They feel as if just by being there they are in some way supporting that streamer. They want to leave any dungeon/raid they join that has someone else in there live streaming.
So in short, say I started my stream to Twitch to show a friend the game or a boss fight. A flag would then show up on the party list next to my name for others to see that I'm currently live streaming. This is what I'm against but that other person I was replying to WANTS in the game.
I'm just looking for a way to have an active /busy flag BEFORE you even get into the game.
Hey guys I hate streamers and how they think they are so important and people should be paying attention to them well that's garbage and I want everyone here to know what I think about it and pay attention to my very important opinion! /s

As a streamer (not that large), I say YES plz add streamers mode!
It helps so much! Just look at voice programs like Discord. I remember back when it did not have streamers mode, and you heard everything from people joining the room to random messages from people you did not even know.
So not +1 from me but +10 for streamers mode!
