If you had never known that person was streaming then you wouldn't have had any different experience in the game. You being a random person running around on their screen is in no way supporting them either.
The idea wouldn't be to advertise the fact you're streaming I don't think.
It'd just hide notifications, block friend requests, etc.
Ideally there'd be no visual indicator that someone is using the mode, it'd just clean things up for the sake of the stream.

Last thing I need is personal information like my retainer sold some ingots for 400 gil flashing up on the stream.

Every time a huge crowd gathers and follows the streamer around it's comedy gold and really entertaining, especially how so many people try to crowd out the npcs all shamelessly, cracks me up.

It's like a Town Party, the whole neighborhood is out and about
So you enjoy watching people grief someone who’s just trying to play the game. Got it.

Hard to ignore when it's everrywhere.

We are literally playing a game where any of us can be the hero, and make our story. Yet, some around here still hero worship some players more than others. There's a topic on the forums every time a 'oh my god e-celeb streamer' so much as farts in the game. People acting like idiots in-game around them, and running around like chickens with their heads cut off just because 'so and so' showed up and is playing their game and they must act like they're the next best thing since sliced bread. News flash, they aren't. They're just another dang player in a sea of millions.

And the fact people seem to throw them on a pedestal is getting to be unreal. Like the previous guys post before mine. "Oh my god streamer shows up and these people do all this its so kul!11111". So they can't do that normally without a streamer? They can't socialize, have fun, and make events without a god to follow around? You may as well be the IRL equivalent of beast tribes following your primal.

Please spare me. Some get online to get out of the Britney days, Beiber days, and rabid humans worshiping other humans. Now it's followed us to the internet in the walking fail of humanity known as 'streaming' masquerading as a job.

Now you want to drag it into the fantasy game world where we try to escape to.

No. Thanks. This game is about taking out primals not creating new ones.

y'know, if I don't like something about, say, internet culture, in this context streamers, I ignore it and don't make multiple posts about how much I dislike this and that about them, or even them themselves, in multiple threads
I don't care about them, so why should I spend my time thinking and talking about them?
the opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy and honestly, considering how you made basically the same post in multiple streamer related threads before, I'd even call you envious of them

I thought there was already some rules for streamers to follow. When I stream, I cover the chat window and turn everyone's name into first and last initial. I thought I read that as a rule for streaming XIV. Also you gotta put a SE copyright in your homepage/description.

Please do regale us more with how above streamers and "e-celebs" you are, while consistently making post after post complaining about them and the people who dare to get entertainment out of watching them - for whatever reasons, be they a way to kill time or a genuine enjoyment of the content they make and who they are as a person.

You sure are showing how little you care about them by posting constantly in a thread about one.

Watching one of the first Hololive players start the game for the first time, it's pretty sad to see how they get flooded with whispers and what not. They even had 27 friend request before getting out of the very first cutscene. The entire time they were in the cutscene they kept hearing the friend request sound AND seeing the message popup in the middle of the screen.
Streamers don't need a special mode. They just need common sense. If you don't want to be bothered by viewers while playing, then don't stream or talk about your character info.

yes, yes - we get it. streamers are evil, abhorrent, greedy individuals who are ultimately unworthy of your presence and their followers are just mindless, drooling sheep. you're welcome to move on now since you've made your point.
