They can always not show their screens until they are in the game.
At some point, the onus is on the streamer to prevent things from happening to them.
In this day and age, it's honestly best to assume someone in every party you join is streaming. Even your own FC. Furthermore, not everyone covers their chat boxes either. Becareful what you say in chats. You never know who is streaming, how large their audience is, and wither or not their chat is covered. Thise goes for friends too. When you send tells, you don't know if they are streaming or even screen sharing over Discord.The game needs a setting that enables the /busy flag before you even get into the game.
Watching one of the first Hololive players start the game for the first time, it's pretty sad to see how they get flooded with whispers and what not. They even had 27 friend request before getting out of the very first cutscene. The entire time they were in the cutscene they kept hearing the friend request sound AND seeing the message popup in the middle of the screen.
There isn't an option to block all requests outside friends? That way Streamers can add those they trust and only get requests from them?

I also would like to see a super obvious flag when someone is streaming so everyone else will know that person is streaming and we can all have more fun with these people.
Every time a huge crowd gathers and follows the streamer around it's comedy gold and really entertaining, especially how so many people try to crowd out the npcs all shamelessly, cracks me up.
It's like a Town Party, the whole neighborhood is out and about![]()
I fail to see why we can't do such things without a streamer...
Just more people sucking up to e-celebs. Disgusting.
Name Meaning:
Nekaru = Neko + Hikaru
Infitima = Infinity + Ultima
You could do what most people (myself included) do in game and simply, I don't know, pay them no mind. If you've got nothing bad to say then you have nothing to worry about.
Children don't know how to ignore something they don't like. They gotta stomp their feet and huff about it until people agree with them.
As we've established, Nekaru basically acts like a child - so this is kinda par for the course. The concept that people watch streamers for the fact they're actually entertaining or enjoyable to watch doesn't exist in their mind; nope, we're all just sucking up and wanting to get e-famous via leeching off their streams. Totally what's going on. /s
That said, it's unfortunate to hear Pekora is getting the same sort of harassment as Asmongold. I don't watch much of Hololive, but a friend does, and their stream culture over in Japan can arguably be worse than NA stream culture at times. To contrast: Silvervale and some of Vshoujo play XIV on stream, as well, but I've not seen nearly as much harassment or incidents like that whenever they're playing. Smaller audience than Hololive, for certain, but still.
Starting to think streamers need to at least take the effort to blur out their character name where possible, even if I know that's hard to do in the middle of an active livestream vs. an edited video.
Hard to ignore when it's everrywhere.
We are literally playing a game where any of us can be the hero, and make our story. Yet, some around here still hero worship some players more than others. There's a topic on the forums every time a 'oh my god e-celeb streamer' so much as farts in the game. People acting like idiots in-game around them, and running around like chickens with their heads cut off just because 'so and so' showed up and is playing their game and they must act like they're the next best thing since sliced bread. News flash, they aren't. They're just another dang player in a sea of millions.
And the fact people seem to throw them on a pedestal is getting to be unreal. Like the previous guys post before mine. "Oh my god streamer shows up and these people do all this its so kul!11111". So they can't do that normally without a streamer? They can't socialize, have fun, and make events without a god to follow around? You may as well be the IRL equivalent of beast tribes following your primal.
Please spare me. Some get online to get out of the Britney days, Beiber days, and rabid humans worshiping other humans. Now it's followed us to the internet in the walking fail of humanity known as 'streaming' masquerading as a job.
Now you want to drag it into the fantasy game world where we try to escape to.
No. Thanks. This game is about taking out primals not creating new ones.

Please do regale us more with how above streamers and "e-celebs" you are, while consistently making post after post complaining about them and the people who dare to get entertainment out of watching them - for whatever reasons, be they a way to kill time or a genuine enjoyment of the content they make and who they are as a person.Hard to ignore when it's everrywhere.

You sure are showing how little you care about them by posting constantly in a thread about one.
