Never went out of my way to earn gil in game either or dedicated any extended amount of time in game acquiring my first home and moving it to shirogane later when the area opened. I just play and enjoy the game and the gil accumulates on its own. I've even blown a fair amount on the MB leveling my crafting and gathering jobs the lazy way by just buying stuff normally in HQ quality only to hand it off to the GC NPC for the daily supply quests.

To me if they're treating the time you play this game as some kind of investment that they expect some kind of compensation or payoff from it sounds like they aren't actually enjoying the game. Or are they just upset this lottery doesn't tilt odds in favor of the people that sit around in perpetual AFK mode 24/7 running a bot or script to click the placard 20 times per second?
