They know it's not going to fix the server problems. People are misunderstanding what was said.

That's one thing nice about SE - they handle their own QA and take responsibility when there's a problem. Compare that to Blizzard where they leave QA to unpaid volunteer beta testers on the PTR, ignore the beta testers when they report "this is a problem, things aren't ready" then blame any launch problems on the beta testers for not providing feedback the beta testers had actually given them but that they chose to ignore and deleted from their beta forums.
