    From the Dev tracker Player Run Companies: a Rallying Cry Bayohne replied with this to the thread, "Spoke with Yoshida and got confirmation that Player Companies are still in the works."

    When I saw this I became suddenly very very happy. While we know nothing of the Public Company system, not even including the Grand Company system.. we did know that part of their design was to include purchasable Property/Ships.
