What exactly is the future of final fantasy xiv?

I mean after endwalker... Where do we go from there? Will we travel to planets... Or the past? Will there be another calamity event? What you guys think?

No idea what the culmination will be after EW, but, we do have two other known continents to explore.
The trailer showed mericydia, so I'm guessing there. (Or revisiting the old world to see TIME FINALLY PASSING.)

I WOULD love a revisit to the SB areas to have a FULL expansion worth of hingashi/doma, and gyr abania. (Ala mhigo restoration when, se?)

Final Fantasy XIV: The Quest For More Money.

Well, there's still the mysterious "New World" continent west of Eorzea. We've also never seen Meracydia

Then there's a bunch of other shards we know nothing about. Lots of junk out there.

Also we've only seen one port of Hingashi

I'm hoping we dump the Scions, get a new cast of characters, and go exploring new high fantasy environments, be it in Meracydia or on another Shard.

Even though the big storyline weve had is coming to a close, that doesnt mean we wouldnt still have an Ascian threat.

I do think Elidibus might break free, and with Zodiark likly slain forever, he might try to find a new motivation and a new goal.
And weve killed like what, only a handful of Acsians? The Eden Story and the appearance of Fandaniel proves there can always still be more out there, and with their own motivations.

I think we might travel to other stars like the 1st in ShB. And people like Maxima and Feldoea (i cant remember the spelling kek) might join us.
There is still a great many things you could do with ffxiv.

But i cant say the storyline will be as enticing

I always thought it was such a tease to go to Kugane but being unable to, for the time at least, go into Koshu and the rest of Hingashi.
Here's hoping we get to visit it at some point. To be honest, I would love to just be complete exploring the areas we have in our current map so that we can go beyond to uncharted territory.
