Market Research: What do you like from a RP FC?

I consider starting a RP FC since months. Now I’m soon ready to jump in on Mateus server (Crystal). I have a few questions to know what you guys, in a FC or not, like in your RP FC. It’s will give me a better view of what you guys want from a FC.

RP Theme: The theme a FC will roleplay as is the heart of a roleplaying FC. What theme do you love to RP as? (Example: A military group with the goal to defend Eorzea, evil cultists that venerate a deity, an adventurous band or something else?)

RP Events: Do you prefer RP events that’s include DnD-like fight with /roll command, character development based, a mix of both or something else?

RP Stories: What you would like to see in a storyline?

FC Name: Depending on the RP theme, do you prefer the FC to have a name based on a city or a zone from the game (Exemple: Coerthas Daredevils, Ul’dah Royals), a lore event or else?

RP-PvE: Do you like your FC to have PvE activities to keep peoples busy outside RP?

Play time: Are you able to play from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM EST? RP events would be around 9PM.

Discord channels: What channel do you want to see on our Discord? (Example: A channel to post your character RP sheet, a channel for music and videos channels etc.)

Presence on Discord voice channels and in-game chat: Do you prefer to use vocal channels or in-game chat? Should it’s optional but encouraged or mandatory to be present on vocal?

I would recommend you make the FC that fits your theme, your playstyle, what you want to see in discord channels and recruit and lead people to stick to that. Trying to change your ideas, goals, and playstyle to suit others will only make you unhappy in the long run. If those design goals change over time, then communicate that to your group. Lead them the way you want things to go. If someone were to answer all of these questions they would pretty much have all the things they would need to start their own FC. Answer those questions from you and your perspective first, and be willing to adapt if things don't go to plan. The goal is to find like minded people. Just my two gil.
