I was gonna make a long comment about let's not overreact so much on both sides but this is bit much... Claiming WoW's issue is a content issue is hilarious and naive at best.

I was only pointing out that the drought was one of many problems with the game currently. Don't put words in my mouth, please.

It’s almost impossible to predict anything a year out. Sorry, but your expectations are unrealistic.

Considering these days a lot of things are affecting every business. But in saying that, Yoshi fronted up and has openly apologised which is infinitely more than you’d get with most companies.

Yes it is disappointing, but it’s not the end of the world.

Saimeren, what would you like them to do to "fix" this? Does it hit hard, knowing you took time off? Sure. But this is a company, and it is there to earn money and according to a radically qualified lead man, they chose the path that would ensure a better product would be available for the majority of their customers and potential ones too. I think a lot of folks were looking forward to it, I have a friend who ordered the collectors edition, and it was going to release right before they had to travel, now it is being pushed back, they have to travel, and now they need to have it mailed to a friend's place so they can then turn around and send it to them at their new location but they aren't too upset about it.

My major complaints with housing are appearing to be addressed on some level, not necessarily how I'd envision them dealing with it, but they are dealing with it at least on some level, and it took years for them to address the issues. I guess what I'm getting at, is in terms of MMORPG's this game pretty much is on point for as many people are subscribed to it. What ever technical delays are involved can be over looked, and maybe during this vacation time you've taken off, you can pursue other interests, or focus on helping friends accomplish their in game goals. I don't know how it is for you, it stings sure, but could be a blessing in disguise.

Also reading a bit more, I can honestly say I don't know a more 'caring' team for this game than perhaps the Ultima Online team (haven't played in years). Yoshi-P took the reigns on a game that was decried as trash garbage and on the way out, and could have potentially lost his chances of being a renowned game developer/lead man but gave it his ALL. Late nights, arguing with various departments, and deferring to people who he considered his peers/betters in whatever aspects of this game he had to trust them with. That's just Yoshi-P. Soken's music and sounds are made with care, pretty sure the guy has lost more than his fair share of sanity putting out the freakin bangers he's been producing. yeah there's been a few questionable Mogstation/cash shop decisions, but I can point you in the direction of other mmorpg's and their prices/items. I'm not trying to make you out to be some villain for stating your grievances, but for years, this game has been faithfully plodding along a great course. I don't enjoy the MSQ /Lore so much, but there's enough other stuff here for me to feel like subscription price is doing what it needs to do and then some to keep me entertained. Anyhow, I hope some of this helps to put it into perspective. I ramble, and I do feel for you "losing" out on your vacation time, but give it a bit more of a chance.

Players throwing a hissy fit about this are kinda hilarious because there's SO MUCH to do before Endwalker comes out that I am scrambling to finish it all. I absolutely get the frustration but it's obvious how bad Yoshi P feels about it. In fact, that man spent so much time apologizing that I actually found myself going "Ok dude we get it, it's fine."


Also as someone who came from Another MMO that released a delayed expansion months later ladden with bugs and issues that ignored feedback that wasn't fixed until five days ago, I'm perfectly happy to give FFXIV (who has yet to massively let us down) a bit of time. Plus, Stormblood and Warlords of Draenor's Releases taught me to never take the release week off for an expansion.

Like many others, this new release date means I won't be able to benefit from the early access since I will be on holidays abroad.
I was really looking forward to it as the start of an expansion is always a lot of fun.
But it is what is is. We have time.

Especially, there is a reason why the saying "don't play on patch day" exists.
Also considering the servers being overloaded on release, the long butt waiting times to get in AND the "Hawt dang, I got disconnected. Back to the hour long Q.." - nah, just nah. Not worth the stress x.x

This must be alot of people's first mmo launch ever. I mean why they would take off week 1 of an MMO is beyond me considering basically every mmo ever released has had a sketchy release week.
If you did take off now you know, next time wait a week or 2 or take off the third week.

Personally it's sad it's getting delayed but I can immensely respect Yoshida for how he did it and why. I'd also rather see the final expansion of this storyline done right, 1-2 week delay means nothing.
