I get that most people are frustrated by this, and a lot of people may not be able to move their time off due to blackout dates or other work-related / personal reasons. No matter what date they'd move it to, some people were going to be left unable to play it on release so it would have always been unfair to someone.

A lot of people had made plans since the original date was announced and those are now ruined at the last second and it seriously sucks, but we have to just accept it.

I'm upset too considering I might not be able to switch my PTO and I'll have family over so the odds of me playing on release week are very slim now, but there's nothing you or I can do about it.

Stuff like this is basically guaranteed to continue happening in our lives and it's ok to be upset about it. The problem is when you choose to stay upset and refuse to move on from the situation.

The game will still be there once you get the chance to play.

(I personally just wish all of this would have been noticed and announced sooner).

I disagree. Many taking days off and people like OP may not able to reschedule them.

Personally I took a week off so I could play more but with delay it will not collide with a surgery I will have on 3rd so it’s really unfortunate and disappointing but I don’t blame the team if they really need some more time.

It's not that people don't understand the concept of delaying something to make it better.
It's people being disappointed in it cause they expected a release (and the dev teams has had a good record of not deleying much in the past outside of their own control i.e the postponed release from summer to fall due to covid and wfh changes.)

Given the hype that goes into an expansion launch, better late than bad. If they say they have things that still need work, let 'em work.

I don't really think the decision to delay it, or even to sell during December, is a bad one.

The bad decision here was to wait so long before delaying. Since it's led to people's schedules being fixed around the current date. If they'd delayed much sooner then people would likely be less upset.

That said I have no idea if febuary/march would be better for the community, but if it did happen to be that long I'd be happy to wait.

This is why you shouldn't take days off of work simply to play a game. I easily could at my job, but have never done so even once. Game isn't going anywhere. Content isn't going anywhere. This isn't WoW after all.

This is the ice thing I can my vacation for whatever I can. If vacation is for me a week in an expansion release it is not your buisness. Luckily could change it.
