How dare you express disappointment! REEEE
Seriously, it needs to stop shaming and belittle people who take their time to express their disappointment in the delay.
Your comment contributes nothing and you ask people not to express said feelings cause there is nothing that can be done, yes of course we can't affect said decision but feedback is feedback and people must be allowed to express their feelings - this goes for both sides but let's be constructive at very least.

Of course you can express your disappointment but do keep in mind there is still a difference between express a concern and over reacting. How dare you express disappointment! REEEE

After seeing what happened to Cyberpunk release, I respect his decision and actually feels sorry that he looks so pale on the live letter.
I am in the same shoe for booking my vacation for original release week but I don't over reach like cry babies.

The people in this thread demanding compensation for this delay need to touch grass. If you truly think you're entitled to compensation, why not play New Genesis, where compensation gets offered for any kind of disruption? Try not to look too hard at the actual game you'd be playing though, it's kinda terrible.
I myself was affected by this decision, but i know and trust Yoshi P, it's for the best and the game will be there from launch forward, even if i play a little less then expexcted, so stop those weird complaints.

Don't you think they would honor the original release date if they could? You act as if the accountants at SE enjoy postponing revenue and the devs and QA folks love lingering on the same content that they've already poured years into. This is every bit as, if not more, painful for them as it is for you.To counter this, and stop you ruining a lot of players fun and the want to enjoy the game and story properly, you need to either honour your original release date, or the release needs to be postponed until at least February or March 2020, so the whole player base can enjoy the story without rushing or skipping, to keep up with endgame progression.
As for your suggestion of arbitrarily postponing the release until February to suit your personal preference, I suggest a compromise. Let the rest of us enjoy the release in December, as they've currently planned. In the meantime you can opt not to log into the game until March or February, and then you can enjoy the story without rushing or skipping at that time. I don't understand this obsession with keeping up with endgame progression. It's not like the game is going anywhere. Unlike WoW, there are no limited time achievements that are going to be beyond your reach if you decide to take a three month break from raiding. No one is forcing you to rush through or skip anything.

Free things? For a minor delay? Let’s look at it this way. Before the Endwalker delay there was only one other, a patch during the height of the covid epidemic. For a game this old, with as many expansions and patches it’s had since 2.0 that’s bloody good going. How about congratulating that rather then standing there with hands out stretched.

Are people seriously still complaining about this? It happens sometimes. The lead dev literally came our in tears to apologize. Worst decisions they've ever made? That some kind of joke lol? Considering the reason I'm happy about the delay. I trust Yoshida and I WANT an amazing end to this multi expansion story. Another week or 2 wait is nothing.
If you took off work for week one of an expansion that's 100% on you. Why anyone would do that when basically every mmo xpacs release has been sketchy is far beyond me.

Agreed. I'll also add that if you had the luxury of taking a week off work to play a game, and you're able to perceive its three-week delay as a major crisis in your life, then you're living a pretty good life! Some people have problems, and some manufacture their own.
