    Because there are going to be players who use controllers. FFXIV is relying on that PS3 playerbase.

    Good luck moving nonstop on your D-Pad trying to be a decent player, unless you seriously think "Attack" should have it's own dedicated face button.

    Go play TERA, Blade and Soul, or Guild Wars 2 if you want a more action oriented combat system. We just got a fucking overhaul of the combat system a few months back, and you want them to rework it AGAIN?

    My reason= I don't like button mashing. I bought the CE at launch and stopped playing pretty much straight away because I hated not having AA. If they reintroduced it I would quit.

    If it isn't button mashing then what do you mean by action oriented battle?

    having to press a button every hit = button mashing.

    This game is not anymore we hit skills for combos and activate buffs we do not have to spamm a single button over and over just to enable us to do the skills for combos.

    I liked the "Action" combat in DCUO but that combat and this game does not fit. That is a high Comic Style super hero fantasy game this is more realistic back in the day + tech fantasy. Doing backflips and front flips and side rolls all would kill off the player base of FF MMOs forever I think.

    Plus in the end that was button mashing too just lots of mouse buttons.
