Inventory UI. The current one is just horrible.
There are a lot of more user friendly inventories out there to pick from.

I think FFXIV has a set of solvable issues with a priority list, and I expect a lot of player requests will be granted, especially cosmetic requests (like expanding the glamour system for instance, or revamping inventory space systems).
My main focus would be gameplay oriented. The big thing missing in FFXIV is more endgame content in between normal and savage, and in light party. Sure there are Deep Dungeons and treasure maps, but I think having harder endgame dungeons bringing gear between normal mode and savage raid ilevel would be great. Or even more cosmetic rewards. They could even use the Unreal scaling system (without too much gear synch) and have something close to WoW's mythic dungeons.
This could also bring a bit more customization in jobs between various types of content in terms of stats and rotations.

And a better looking character turning animation when you use R-Mouse like they did in wildstar or wow for example
atm its just a cheap looking spinning

THIIIIIIS. I don't even RP, but I like having alts. I like making characters, and I like making those that look better for certain jobs than others. And if I'm willing to let an alt go, it would be nice to move their stuff to my main so that I don't lose anything. From WoW, add real alts. A selling point of FF is that you don't need alts to play all the classes, but from an RP standpoint, sometimes you don't want to be dancing for tips as male Lalafell, but would rather do so as a Miqo'te. And while you can create multiple characters, the game doesn't even want them to interact. You can't send items or even gil between them easily. A real alt system would let you at least pair characters up so that you can share at least some resources between them.
I haven't played enough other games to tell you what else could be brought in, but I'm sure others of you have. I look forward to hearing your suggestions.
You used to be able to send mail stuff to your alt, but they squashed that because people were using alts as mules but... who cares? The game already allows you to make 8 characters per world, so I'm not seeing what difference that would make. Retainers are still by and large the better system for holding all my stuff, anyway. What's more convenient, going to my retainer, or logging out, log in as my alt, my alt mails my main 666 copper ores, I log out, log back in, all the while dealing with queue times... c'mon.
Better Housing
I'd just go for higher alt-friendliness, for both alt-characters and alt-jobs.From WoW, add real alts. For reducing the handicap of having all jobs on one player, replace weekly-capped tomestone and weekly capped raid-token purchases with making a given slot buyable with non-capped tomes, so we're free to grind for alt-job gear on one character. Also, reduce uncapped gear tome costs for quicker catch-up and horizontal progression.
For better allowing for alt-characters, automatically add our alts to a portion of our friend's list, allowing us to send LS invites, mail, and everything else. However, to greatly reduce any perceptible obligation to make alt characters to use as banks, make it so any items sent from one to another of our characters causes it to be spiritbound (or otherwise not tradeable back) once taken out of the mail. This restriction will not apply to returned mail, but a cap should be placed on how many items one can have sent to other characters at a time (i.e., without their being taken out of the mail), so we're not just cycling mail through per month to open up 100+ additional inventory slots. (Should we get more inventory, in general? Yes, but we shouldn't feel obliged to circumvent XIV's inventory bloat through gimmicks.)
