I'm experiencing the same problem for the past two weeks-- intermittent but very aggressive lag, packet loss, and time-outs. Looking at tracert and pingplotter it's pretty clearly not my ISP. I'm in Chicago. Will make my own thread on this.

I'm in Kentucky and having the exact same issue...it's insanely frustrating. I know this isn't my ISP because FFXIV is the only game that has issues. I can play other games just fine...
This didn't use to happen but has become an increasingly serious problem over the past month or two. It's ruining my enjoyment of the game as everyone rubberbands around the screen or seemingly fast-forwards to catch up or I simply disconnect altogether.
I love this game, but it's getting to a point that I'm sadly considering unsubscribing because I can't even play...

Midwest-based here (Google Fiber) experiencing same issues. Disconnects have become more frequent since the "Recovery from Network" issues on 11/21/21. At times I can play for up to an hour, then lag followed by disconnects from game and lobby server. Tracert seems to indicate no issue with my ISP but an intermittent issue on 204.2.229.230, which I assume is the lobby/login server.
*Constant* lag spikes yesterday and today. Always the same-- I'm fine, and then I'm completely out for 10 seconds or more, then I'm back if I haven't disconnected.

This is bullsht. Two+ weeks of this lag crap, and support is useless enough to cut and paste generic responses. I will be taking my money elsewhere.
Just been experiencing this too since last night. Started around 12AM Central for me on Aether/Sargatanas, namely in instanced content such as Alliance Raids and during Beast Tribe Quests.
Had a nasty bit of spiking happen during a Guildhest I did to test things, no luck.
Wonder what's going on (Black Friday aside)...
This is the same issue I am having. It keeps crapping out on that IP address. I have done every rigamarole that has been suggested short of using a VPN which I refuse to do as I am not paying out of pocket expenses to fix a problem I am not responsible for, nor should anyone ELSE here. If it comes to that I will unsub and refund End Walker.
This has been going on for SEVERAL weeks now and it's only getting worse. We really need a bone thrown at us and someone needs to let us know if this is being looked into. Every expansion has its pre-release jitters but this seems just keep being ignored.
Lemme throw my traceroute into this, to see if anything else can be checked into, starting at the NTT nodes:

I've temporarily resorted to a VPN, which has completely eliminated the issue. Frustrating. It's not something I intend to keep paying for.
Last night, my rubberbanding issues seemed to fix themselves automatically.
I did a gateway and reboot and flushed the DNS cache beforehand, so I don't know if those did the trick or not.
Another FC mate of mine from the same state (different ISP) said they had some rubberbanding for some time yesterday that eventually got resolved.
Must've been a hop that both our ISPs use to connect to the Aether datacenter. Strange.
