Last wishes of a person loving ffxiv

Hello fellow Erozeans,
I know this is a weird post for all of you. But one of our friends is dying and were trying to help her fulfill some of her last wishes. That being said id like to ask for your help.

We're trying to find a way to contact square in order to have an area in gridania where she can pass away since she started there and wishes to leave when being there that's closed of to the public but only available to her group of friends like an event area.

Wed also like in the event that she won't be able to play before endwalker arrives to try and get a synopsis from the lore team so we can still have someone that could read it to her

Lastly, some rng and clear things that probably won't happen but its worth shot trying out were trying to get her a house and a legend title so she leaves her name in eorzea in some ways. (leaving he rname in eorzea is really important to her as shes been though a lot of hardships and cant leave her own house making eorzea more real to her then anything in her real life is due to weakness)

Any help ideas and recommendations for these things would be greatly appreciated The event area and lore being most important wed need help with as housing is too rng and time consuming when she's trying to enjoy the last bits of the world and well any ultimate there is just no time to prog it anymore.

First and foremost, I'm sorry for your friend. Seeing someone slowly pass is a very difficult thing. About your requests in general...

That's a hard no. An area reserved only for a handful of people wouldn't fly in general.

You may want to reach out to your world and see if you can get a community event going! Dunno how Cerberus is like but sure there will be some folks interested in helping out with that.

Again, reaching out to your world community would probably be the best way to accomplish something like this. Really that's my ultimate suggestion: If they know the person in question's character you can set up a number of community events and I think that would be great!

Ferra’s suggestions are pretty solid. It’d be best to reach out to the player base as opposed to reaching out to Square.

There are a lot of areas in Gridania where nobody usually goes, but it is possible they could be put in an instance if you actually manage to contact someone. You could also try The Lavender Beds, the housing area for Gridania, which is still supposed to be part of Gridania and you can change it so the city theme plays in the system configuration.

A house would not have much point because it would get removed for inactivity, but you could make an FC house and maintain it for her that way.

The FFXIV story is very intricate and probably far too much to explain but the vague summary is fairly obvious if you think about it. We know the areas, we know where we're going, we know what is there and what we're going to do - what we always do. And we know that will be the end. Ultimates are probably possible if there is a good team offering to help them through it and they are good with mechanics but there isn't a lot of time before endwalker now because it's in 2 weeks.

First of all I am so sorry to hear this.

An Fc house would be the way to go. You can get a designer then to decorate it exactly how she wants, therefore leaving her mark on the world. I have seen a few designers make memorials in houses for friends or family of the person that passed on.

Adding to this: maybe also an apartment? Those have no risk at being auto-demolished, staying there forever.

I would try to get into contact with local guilds in your server. Surely someone in Gridania has a house where they can host a private event for you.

Second, I would suggest her giving her account to one of her close friends that would want to keep it active or utilize it, but that breaks ToS. Alternatively, rename a retainer to match her name and station that retainer at your FC house.

Unfortunately, SE can't make special cases for the dying. It is unfortunate, but it is how it is. Examples are the real life person behind the Father of Light series dying. This was a real person and an actual real life friend of Yoshi-P, but nothing was really done in game to honor them aside from personal events by players.

Again, sorry for your loss and for your friend, but you really can't expect anything out of SE on this at this point in the game.

Maybe someday there will be rentable venues like we have for the wedding for limited time things...but here and now.. I'm sorry.

Thank you everyone - We'll try to get an apartment and an fc house in Gridania in this time as for the rest... yeah I knew it was a longshot and thank you all for your thoughts.
I was able to get some old connections to get 2 perfect legends to help maybe we'll luck out on that too
