Si I have been doing this farm unfortunately in PF 58 fights and haven't won it it by drop and got beat by one number one drop. I think the purpose of the 99 totems is to crush our hopes, destroy our spirits and burn us out honestly. At this point I just stopped caring after 50 fights lol. I wish it was just 50 totems to get but nope 99 soul crushing totems.

I agree.
50 fights on Hades felt just right.
But 99 before the pity mount (assuming you also got the weapons you wanted?) is too much.
I'd not EX farmed until ShB and I don't plan on doing it again.

It's less of a cruelty and more of a mercy to those unlucky enough to have lost the roll however many times over potentially hundreds of clears. For others it's an end point for their grind, provided they don't win it by the 99 totem mark. Honestly though, after the buff to the drop rates one would have to be extremely unlucky to make it to that point, though I've gone as far as 70-80 before winning an Ex mount in the past. I know it's possible and I have encountered others who have had to go the full 99.

Lol, my EX farming was full of extremes.
I had to buy the Titania, Hades, and Emerald with the totems... but I got the Ruby mount in 4 clears and Diamond's in 2.

I’ve done the full 99 for my dragon. It was awful, tedious and boring. But ultimately doable as there is a clear end goal regardless of luck.

This fight was the first fight that I have to exchange totems for mount.

I would prefer just 25 because that's when I start getting burned out. Hades was a lot better at 50.

Seat of Sacrifice EX is the fight that hurts the least to have to get 99 totems if it comes down to that. One of the best designed and most fun EX fights out of all of them without question.

The whole purpose is to keep EX Trials alive throughout a given patch cycle. They don't expect players to farm 99 tokens all at once but over a 4-6 month span. Of course, people do. However, that isn't the intent. Reducing the number makes it harder for player later on looking to farm. Hades and Diamond were exception; the former due to its length while the latter because it's the last one of the expansion. Personally, I think they were testing Diamond's longevity and decided it didn't last long enough. Hence why weapon coffers will drop in Endwalker but you'll still only get a single token per kill.

As someone who had in ShB: 4 ex mounts at 99 totems, 1 at 91 totems, 1 at 70 totems and 1 at 47 totems, i can only agree with the 2 totems per run for all ex trial or a reduction of the number of totems required for long fight (looking at you Emerald).

All done through pf as i don't have a static and my fc is dead so it was exhausting. SoS was the easiest because i love that fight, it did go all the way to 99 totems. Emerald was the most painful one.
My SB % drop was slightly better but not by much.
