    There's a /keybind that opens the waymark window. You can drop waymarks on the ground from there, and they will display on the map. However, you can only drop waymarks within your visible range, so this is only useful for limited applications, like marking the three pairs of related gathering nodes so you can quickly spot the next pair in the cycle when gathering a lot of one item.

    not quite what I'm after, but thanks. Would be nice if we could use waymarks on the map or even through command.
