Ok I had to comment on it. I started it soon after I leveled my first class to 80. But then crafting called me. Now I picked it up again for the dance and man am I glad I did. I have ammonia right now and this quest line is helping/not helping it. Just Wanted to say this quest line is filled with comedy and cringe. Sometimes it is like watching something so wrong but you can not look away. Here is a screen shot I am on right now.

I love the Hildebrand series so much, I remember doing the first quest chain had me laughing and smiling harder than I did in a very long time. It was disappointing that they didn't give him a quest series for Shadowbringers (I know he shows up in Heroes Gauntlet but I have yet to see him myself), because it would have been nice to get a laugh during these rough times, but I understand SE had enough on their plate already. Fingers crossed we see him and the gang again in Endwalker though!

Unless I am totally misremembering, I think it's been said they will definitely bring Hilde back, they didn't realize just how popular his quest lines are. I missed him as well, it's just such silly fun.

I love how the animations team is allowed so much more leeway with the characters movements and expressions in those cutscenes, it's near SFM levels of zany and I loves it.

I watched MikePreachWoW play it and he was laughing his ass off the entire time I had sorta forgotten about it since it was so long ago I did it.
All I could think of when he came to the crossdressing part tho was how not okay that would've been in the West xD ( we're at the point now that '' damsel '' is too offensive... ).

Which is kinda dumb, it's not mocking trans people it's mocking Hildibrand he's just a dumbass.
The reference to Bollywood when his dad chases him is hilarious too.
The whole thing kinda just reminded me of how humorless Western games are I can't think of anything even remotely like the equivelant of this.
The Hildibrand storyline is basically just the devs being told to go nuts and it's glorious.

Hildibrand is a nice break from some of the more serious story in the game.

I also love how your spell correct decided to participate by changing insomnia to ammonia. That's a very Hildy thing to say.
