set party effects and their sound effects off. Best change I ever made.
then when I realized that there were beneficial circle thingies to stand in occasionally (had a white mage ask me why I wasn't standing in their circle, and my reply was "wait, what circle???") I set it to "show limited" with their help

1st world problems
so how hard would you say it is to max settings 4k 60fps this game without any hiccups?
Limit party and other NPC battle effects.
If I set it to max i have 80-85 FPS but I have a 4K 144 so I keep it at custom to have 144+, still can't tell a big difference.
I'm using a Ryzen 5950X and a RTX 3090 so there is no problem for a game like this.
Camera is arrow keys which I can reach with my right thumb.
I heal with F1-F8
I macro Asylum on a target. I target the tank and drop asylum on them without having to use a mouse.
Sometimes I have to use the mouse, for example during quests where you have to zoom in and click on targets or on quests where I have to use items
Ground AoE skills are indeed troublesome. usually i just macro them on a target. Or if necessary I can reach for my mouse with my right hand to use it and then quickly go back to numpad.
That is very interesting! The reason I asked is because I used to have a similar playstyle when I first started playing the game. But instead of using the numpad for movement and arrows for the camera, I used a PS4 controllerCamera is arrow keys which I can reach with my right thumb.

My right hand was on the controller analog sticks for character and camera movement, while my left hand was on the keyboard pressing keybinds. As for targeting members, I just click the directional buttons (up and down) on the controller to cycle through the members.
Then I bought an MMO mouse and my playstyle changed completely.
