Your default changes to base settings?

As a new player, I can tell you what the first change to the default game settings I made was: I turned off music while riding. I played around with the UI a bit, later, but the next major change was fixing the raid info boxes, which by default are smack in the middle of your screen, right where, you know, you're fighting things.

So...anyone remember the first things you changed once you realized you could? Or, alternately, since the game saves UI settings locally, the first changes you make when you get a new computer, or just play on a different one?

Someone needs a better rig

lol i game on a mac. cause i hate windows.
i bought the new one a week ago with the new chip its like $3000. still cant into 4k 60fps.

Since I just upgraded my monitor to 1440p, I had to turned down some of the settings like Transparent Lightning Quality to normal.

I also set the sound effect to 50% and ambient sound to 75% because medium goblet near pool has quite loud waterfall nearby.

So most of my settings are the presets from the PS3. which due to graphical quality had larger... basically everything. These days I have a small TV and my seat is quite far from it, so I emulate that for my current settings on Alts, even if it clutters the screen. Besides that, I add a fourth text box with all my preferred channels, so I can read things I want with out them getting bogged down, but still switch back so I can look at what the team wants me to see, and I fix my Hotbars (Set up the Cross hot bars for quick switching, and add a timer hotbar so I can keep track of cooldowns off cross hotbar 1.

Changed UI size to 80%. Pushed all my hotbars to the bottom of the screen, placed boss HP slightly above my hotbars. As I started leveling more roles, I changed my UI to fit all.

With tanks, I moved the enmity list next to my hotbars. Healers, I moved the partylist closer to the middle of the screen.

After I got an Ultrawide monitor, I moved the partylist next to my chatbox.
