    Revised mudra system. Help improve/error check

    I will try to keep this as concise as possible. I wanted to expand on some of the things they are doing in EW. This proposed idea will give access to quite a bit of ninjitsu. Any changes to abilities and potencies are noted, otherwise they remain as is per current ShB/EW tooltips.

    I do need help refining potencies and durations to ensure this would work in game, but most of all, I hope the Naruto enthusiast and all others can find some enjoyment should you choose to look on. These are all just suggestions with the goal to further improve how NIN feels and plays. All feedback and constructive criticism/questions are welcome and your time is very much appreciated.

    ~~Introduction~~

    To start here is a list of skills that can no longer be accessed via the hotbar. The majority of these skills are now enhancements that are granted after certain actions. This will be explained below:
    • Huton
    • Doton
    • Katon
    • Raiton
    • Suiton
    • Hyoton
    • Kassatsu
    • TCJ

    *!I am currently giving consideration to TCJ, and how it can fit into this system!*

    *!Current iteration of Huton has changed. This name of this status effect has been changed to "Fujin". Conversely, the ability "Huraijin" effect has been changed to "Grants/Extends Fujin", and the ability "Armor Crush" effect changed to "Extends Fujin"*

    ~~Core mudra mechanics~~

    Retained features
    • 20s CD on each mudra
    • Triggers the GCD for all other skills (current tooltip)
    • Separate button to execute Ninjitsu
    • Bunny Medium
    • Can be used outside combat
    • Charges reset with Hide

    Changes/updates
    • Grants beneficial [mudra] effects
    • Store up to 3 charges
    • Duration of mudra effect increased to 10s
    • Ninjitsu does not break weaponskill combos
    • Weaponskills do not cancel mudra effects with the exception of Fuma Shuriken

    ~~Mudra effects~~

    Under the proposed system, a single mudra will still prep Fuma Shuriken. However, successful execution of a double or triple mudra combination will grant the NIN a beneficial status [mudra] effect under the previous name. There is virtually no change to this aspect of the system, and this is to explain how previous ninjitsu abilities are now the names used to identify the beneficial effects that are granted to the NIN.

    Example: Chi->Ten, or Jin->Ten = Katon: Fire Style

    While under the effects of style granted by a double mudra combination, execution of the remaining mudra in the sequence will overwrite the current mudra effect with the new effect.

    Example: Jin->Ten = Katon: Fire Style -> Chi = Doton: Earth Release

    *!Mudra effects end upon execution of ninjutsu, bunny medium, or timer expiring!*

    ~~Ninjutsu~~

    While under a mudra effect, the ninjutsu button will change to the first ability in a sequence of techniques affiliated with that style. Each style has 2-3 ninjutsu techniques that are traits acquired as the NIN levels up. Once all skills of a style are spent, or the timer expires, the effect ends. None of the ninjitsu techniques can be set to the hotbar.

    Example:
    Mudra effect: Katon: Fire Style
    First technique: Gokakyu
    Second technique: Goka Mekkyaku
    - Effect ends


    *!Commit to your style. Mudra effect cannot be changed once a Ninjutsu technique is used. This will result in Bunny Medium!*

    ~~Ninjutsu techniques~~

    Single mudra:

    Fuma Shuriken *the effect on this skill has been changed
    Delivers an attack with a potency of 420 *an additional effect has been added
    *additional effect: DoT potency 60, duration 24s

    *This mudra effect will end if a weaponskill is used

    Double mudras:

    Raiton: Lightning Style (ending in -Chi)

    1. Raikou (current Raiton)
    2. Forked Raiju
    3. Fleeting Raiju


    Katon: Fire Style (ending in -Ten)

    1. Gokakyu (current Katon)
    2. Goka Mekkyaku


    Hyoton: Ice Style (ending in -Jin)

    1. Hyosho Ranryu *the potency on this attack has been reduced
    Deals ice damage with a potency of 400

    2. Hissatsu Hyoso *new*
    Deals ice damage with a potency of 600.


    *!The current Hyoton and bind effect have been removed!*

    Triple mudras:

    Suiton: Water Release (ending in -Jin)

    1. Suishouha - (current Suiton) *Effect and potency have been changed
    Deals water damage with a potency of 300 for first enemy, 50% for each additional enemy *additional effect has been changed
    *additional effect: Grants Suishouha *this effect has been changed
    *Suishouha effect: Allows the execution of Trick Attack without being under the effect of 'Hidden'. This effect is granted only if the ability Trick Attack is available.

    2. Meisui - *This skill has been changed
    Delivers water damage with a potency of 300 for the first enemy, 50% for each additional enemy *the additional effect has been changed.
    *Additional effect. Grants Kassatsu *this effect has been changed
    *Kassatsu effect - doubles the potency of ninjutsu techniques under the Hyoton and Katon mudra effects. This effect is only available under the status Suishouha. Duration 18s


    Doton: Earth Release (ending in -Jin)

    1. Sabaku Kyu - (current Doton). *potency has been increased, duration reduced. additional effects have been added
    Deals Earth DoT. Potency 140, Duration 18s
    *additional effect - Bind
    *additional effect - grants 1 stack of Sabaku Kyu when at least one enemy takes damage up to a maximum of three.

    2. Hollow Nozuchi - this effect has been changed
    Deals Earth damage to all enemies within Sabaku Kyu wither bound or unbound according to stacks of Sabaku Kyu acquired by the NIN.
    1 stack: Potency 250
    2 stacks: Potency 450
    3 stacks: Potency 800


    Huton: Wind Release (ending in -Ten)

    1. Fujin - (Current Huton) *an additional effect has been added
    Grants Fujin
    *additional effect - Creates a wind clone that absorbs damage equal to 20% of max HP. Duration 12s

    2. Fujin Stream *new*
    Dashes at an enemy delivering wind damage with a potency of 400. Should this ability not be used, it will grant the status effect: "Ninjitsu ready". Duration 18s
    *Ninjitsu ready effect: Increases the damage of your next ninjitsu by 50% *this effect is not available outside combat.

    After putting in some additional thought, and thinking 3 charges of mudras might be too much; I was thinking that max charges are still set at two, and TCJ can reset those charges every 120s. I might update this later.

    edit: updated Fuma Shuriken tooltip so that a weaponskill cancels the mudra effect. I'm also thinking about the Ninjutsu button just being Fuma Shuriken by default, and it changes when under a mudra effect.
    edit: added the caveat "not available outside combat" to Ninjutsu Ready effect. TCJ update.
