Sure, you're quoting her, but that language is still in your post and you can get in trouble for that.

would like if the game gives you a rank at the end. like S,A,B,C,D... and tells you one thing you could do better. just one thing and the other players dont see your rank.no punishment or goodies for good/bad ranks.
i know some wouldnt care but at least players would see what they dont do good. sounds trivial but when you see sometving with your own eyes its more likely you work on it.
This is obviously a troll thread, but the only things that need to be changed about commendations is what other people said, about letting us give them to people who've already left. Sometimes I see someone who does quite well (or more often, is the only one that didn't do poorly) that I'd like to commend, but they leave before I can even get the little window open. Other games that let you commend other players allow you to do it for a certain amount of time after the duty/match/etc., so it would be nice to have that here too. It would also cut down on people awkwardly standing around after, hoping to get as many as possible.
We don't need grades. It's a game, not school. If you want so badly to improve your gameplay, third-party things already exist including xivanalysis.
Commendations aren't about how well you played your job. They're about how much you contributed to making the duty a good experience for the rest of the party. They're fine as is.
What SE does need to do is change the requirements for earning mentor. Having it based on how many commendations someone can farm (they'll hit the required duty number in the process of getting the comms) plus getting a few jobs to level cap really doesn't do much when it comes to the quality of mentors.
I would love it if there was an ingame grading system and it needs to be very forgiving in dungeons. What it should punish is the most basic things like never using aoe on groups (after you get an aoe ability obviously), never using any form of mitigation, constant overhealing 0 dps healers, constantly breaking combos and ignoring your buffs all the time. And it also needs to take into account how new a player is. Not realizing you even have mitigation when you tank sastasha for the first time is something entirely different than never using mitigation as lvl 80 tank.
I doubt however this dream will ever come true however. It would be tons of effort to get such a system right and it would create a lot of fuss with people afraid of it, I dont think the devs are interested in either at all.

I got no complaints about the current comm system, but a grading system would be neat to have, I'd dig it, whether it told me I'm garbage I should go ahead and stick my MCH gun in my mouth or I'm the greatest lala that ever stepped my little toes on the floors of stone vigil and I deserve to ride away on the back of that dragon at the end of stone vigil.
We kinda have something similar to this with those training dummies that let u know if u do good enough dps to beat certain fights, I failed every attempt but it was cool seeing where I stood, so a more in depth thing would be cool to.
No thanks we don't need this
Enjoy Life you only get one.
XIV could desperately do with anything to help people know whether they're playing well or not and also encourage them to play better in the latter case.
I don't know about other people but I don't find it fun when a level 80 dungeon run takes 15-20 minutes longer because the healer isn't DPSing and nobody is using AoE or any of their OGCD abilities.
hard pass.
despite your thinking it will improve performance, it wont. people who try hard but are missing mechanics and things, will get an F and that leads to frustration.
people who do little, and somehow manage to do the minimal required get a better "grade" and feel no need to improve.
people do not want a computer evaluating player reports, and yet you figure that somehow, a "grading system" based on job performance based on more than a few variables will be accepted?
the mentor system has issues as it stands, the mentor system needs the change, such as removing the rewards
I DO agree that if someone has left a dungeon, and you think they did well, you should be able to still commend them, but I also think people shouldnt rush out like their house is on fire (unless of course it is)
you have so many suggestion which would lead to this being a completely different game. One has to wonder if you really enjoy this one....
