It's someone that wants to be banned from the forums possible the game... Between the death threats, physical harm, complete disregard for others and TOS, I'm still amazed that the tread hasn't been taken down.

My suggestion is when you exit a dungeon it gives you a grade on how well you performed and then at the bottom could give basic advice if you got below a passing score.

Except that the purpose of a commendation for most players is to let someone know how much they enjoyed and appreciated running with them. For you, the measure of that is high performance. For many players, that is not the case at all. The other day I ran a duty with several players who spent the majority of the run discussing glamours and how to get them. I know there's no way that they were googling for gear pieces while making significant contributions to the fight. That was OK. Even though the fights took a little longer, they got done, and I still got my tomestones. At the end of the run, a player said, "Thanks for finding the glamour for me. You definitely got my comm!" Was I resentful? Absolutely not. That player made the run fun for the other guy, and that's what mattered to him. If you're not getting commendations despite performing your best, consider being a little friendlier. Remember that it's a popularity contest, not a performance review. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Sometimes I consider quitting these forums for good, but totally insane things like this just keep pulling me back. The FFXIV community is a people-watchers paradise, honestly.

Trying to put any ranking in content that, to begin with, isn't challenging in any way is completely pointless and, poorly implement, can force people to go out of their way or play less efficiently in order to achieve high rankings, wasting everyone's time for a meaningless ego medal. Not to mention commendations aren't meant to be an award for skill, but for overall behaviour.

The only changes to commend I would make are being able to commend people even after they exit duty and lock mentorship behind clearing synched content, not just an amount of duty completed and commendation receiveds because anyone can get those given time.
