My name is Salem Valkyrie, Editor of the Eorzea Chronicle: a FFXIV newspaper! We cover both in-game and IRL events throughout the community.

Our October Issue is out now!

We have taken a lot of feedback from our last issue, and you *should no longer need a Patreon account to view the newspaper. It is now in a Google Drive, which should be accessible without logging in (If not, please comment below).

front page articles were too vague, the other one I read was like a tumblr opinion. the language had stuff like "alas" which didnt flow. when i read newspapers (or used to) i flick through to the interesting headlines.

e.g. for the island headline the article was just "its coming" extended to a paragraph or so. id like actual in depth writing about what we know so far with possible yoshi quotes.

Reminds me of those old 'Lalafell Weekly/Merotic Miqo'te/Radical Roegadyn/Menphina Magazine' special interest/gossip mag mockups some very creative 1.0 players did back in the old Legacy days in the downtime between 1.0's shutdown and ARR's Beta tests/launch on the old 1.0 forum.

Either way, well done, you've put a lot of work into this.

Glad you're having fun with typesetting. I would maybe finagle with the kerning between some of the letters in that Eorzea Script typeface. Some of the gaps between the letterforms still seem a bit too spacey.
