I know this comes off wrong and is probably in the wrong channel, but why isn't All Saint's Wake happening now? Why Bricks Instead? Was honestly looking forward to All Saint's Wake more than Endwalker's and am really disappointed we haven't had in game Halloween event 2 years in a row. I understand it's happening November 30 but Halloween after Thanksgiving just ain't the same. Just trying to understand

Due to covid we're getting it in November/December. Hopefully this delay is because we'll finally get a new costume outfit for this event instead of housing items, but who knows.

it was delayed because Endwalker was delayed, and the event was built on the 6.0 version of the game, not 5.5, presumably.

The reason the Dragon Quest event is running currently instead of All Saints Wake is because the DQX event is an old event from 2013 originally and so was already in the game/server files and simply needed to be switched 'on'. All Saints Wake however, needs to be created from scratch (as each seasonal event changes details from year to year) and as such, due to the aforementioned pandemic delaying things, plus the launch of Endwalker being immenient, SE simply do not have the resources to devote to it at this time, so the event will be delayed.

At least it's actually going ahead this year, unlike last year, where they simply added the Haunted House as a useless instance to run around in for role-playing purposes and nothign else (which ran concurrently with the 'Make it Rain' event at Gold Saucer), with no actual event.

And im going to hazard a guess that the percentage of people who were looking forward to this one specific seasonal event more then the release of a whole expansion(with 10 years of story buildup behind it no less) is really low. Like, maybe only you low.

Already Pre-ordered and time off work scheduled. This is going to be one great (US) Thanksgiving week!

Bricks is a rehash so just something they had to flip back on.

It actually bodes really well for All Saint's Wake that it's delayed until they can put time into it because that could mean we get a new event and not just old items from past events turned back on.
